PH Value Of H&M Casual Top Is Unqualified
Some products of H&M, an international fashion retail chain giant, were exposed to be unqualified. The relevant person in charge of H&M China said yesterday that the company had removed all the problematic products from its shelves, but further testing and investigation were needed.
The PH value of casual coat of the quality supervision department is unqualified
Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision announced that in the second quarter, the bureau conducted a special supervision and spot check on the quality of knitted T-shirts produced and sold in Shanghai, and a total of 41 batches of products were spot checked. Among them, some famous brands such as JACKJONES, NEWBALANCE, ANGO and H&M were spot checked. In the inspection, the PH value of a knitted casual shirt of H&M was found to be unqualified. The announcement said that this batch of nonconforming products was produced by Haines Morris (Shanghai) Commercial Co., Ltd. (H&M) in April 2010, with the batch number of 604590 and the specification of 175/100.
Some health experts said that if the PH value of clothing is too high, strong irritation is likely to cause skin immune system disorder, which will lead to dermatitis, skin itching and other symptoms.
It is understood that as Sweden's largest clothing retailer, H&M was founded 60 years ago by the Persson family, one of Sweden's richest people. Today, the company has business operations in 37 countries around the world, and has 33 branches in China, including Hong Kong, Beijing, etc., of which five have entered Beijing last year.
H&M problem products have been taken off the shelves
"We have reported this matter to the global headquarters." Yesterday, Miss Chen, the relevant person in charge of H&M, said in an interview with a reporter that, in fact, any of our products should be tested internally before entering the market, and this batch of products was completely qualified in the company's test in March this year.
As for the inconsistency between H&M's test report and the report of Shanghai Quality Supervision Bureau, Ms. Chen said that the company was also very sorry for such a thing, and immediately removed all the products from the shelves nationwide. At the same time, H&M's global headquarters and Chinese companies will verify as soon as possible, and plan to give the investigation results within a week. The company is also making further follow-up communication with Shanghai Quality Supervision Department on this matter.
It is understood that H&M's business philosophy is that the products are designed by the headquarters and produced by suppliers around the world. This cost saving model without factories was once sought after by peers, but industry insiders said that it was also this model that led to differences in the quality of H&M products in different regions.
A report from our newspaper (reporter Hu Xiaohong): Some products of H&M, an international fashion retail chain giant, were exposed to be unqualified. The relevant person in charge of H&M China said yesterday that the company had removed all the problematic products from the shelves, but further testing and investigation were needed on the products.
