Workers have been holding numerous demonstrations in recent days, demanding higher pay.

Demonstrators clashed with the police several times. The latest wave of clashes occurred from 29 to 30. 30 people were injured, including 10 police officers.

According to reports, in Bangladesh and the shilabala area, because several factories were closed, the opposition party launched textile workers to protest.

Demonstrators set up roadblocks on the streets, and police threw stones at the police who came forward to maintain order. Police used sticks, tear gas and water cannons to disperse the demonstrators.

The conflict has caused at least 30 people to be injured, 10 of whom are police officers.

The main purpose of textile workers' demonstrations is to raise the minimum wage to 5000 Tucca (about $73) per month.

At present, their minimum wage is 1660 Taka (US $23) per month. Demonstrators say, "we work for them, they make money in business, but they do not pay us".

The report points out that most of these workers are made for international brands.

Factory owners said that even if the increase in pay, it will not exceed the standard of 3000 Taka per month.

Industrial statistics show that 80% of Bangladesh's annual export earnings of $15 billion come from the textile industry.
