Initial formation of clusters
With the eastward shift of garment industry, Henan textile and garment enterprises have developed their distinctive characteristics and formed their own distinctive development paths.
Nanyang has strengthened its industrial chain collaboration with dyeing and finishing enterprises such as Hubei and Xiangfan, and formed a textile industrial base featuring clothing and home textiles and cotton spinning as its main body.
Xinxiang has consolidated the advantages of viscose and industrial textiles, and has made efforts to expand the scale of clothing and home textiles, and become an important production base for chemical fiber and textiles.
Zhoukou has made great efforts to increase the proportion of high count worsted, blended and colored cotton textiles, develop weaving and dyeing and expand the scale of garments.
Kaifeng builds a cotton textile industrial cluster dominated by high quality knitting yarns.
Anyang highlighted the matching of dyeing and finishing, improved the knitting industry chain and developed into a knitted apparel industrial cluster.
Shangqiu focuses on industrial clusters like Xiayi and Suiyang, and develops into a knitted children's clothing industrial cluster.

The Zhengzhou municipal Party committee and the municipal government set the garment industry as one of the six pillar industries in the city's key development, and the Zhengzhou Municipal Economic and Trade Commission invested 30 million yuan each year to promote the textile and garment industry to accelerate development.
At present, there are more than 2000 garment manufacturing enterprises in the city, with 300 thousand employees and annual sales revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan.

It is expected to produce 15 million pieces of clothing annually, achieving an annual sales income of 1 billion 500 million yuan and a profit tax of 100 million yuan.
The company was founded in 1995. The garment industrial park project covers an area of nearly 80 thousand square meters, with an annual production capacity of 12 million. At present, the 40 thousand square meters of the first phase of the Ya Li Industrial Park has been put into operation, and it can produce 4 million pairs of women's trousers.
Problems in Industrial Development
According to the relevant leaders of the Henan clothing trade association, there are four major obstacles to the development of Henan's clothing industry: the industrial base is relatively weak: the overall layout is relatively loose, the enterprises are small, and the enterprises are still fighting for themselves; the industry management still needs to be further improved. At present, there are more business operators in the traditional way of operation and lack of strategic planning; most enterprises have poor upgrading capability, such as upgrading of learning ability, upgrading of product development capabilities, upgrading of value chain capabilities, upgrading of execution capabilities, upgrading of market integration capability, and simple and lagging mode of brand operation. Most of Henan's clothing brands are still in the general sense of product sales level due to talent factors, and the consciousness and ability of corporatization and brand operation are relatively poor.
Due to historical reasons, Henan clothing enterprises are generally small in scale, and there are less than 10 garment enterprises with a scale of more than 1500 people, and 500 of them are less than 1/10 of the total number, and more than 80% of the products are sold domestically.
The two bottlenecks of Henan clothing industry are "brand" and "market", and there is a gap between Henan clothing products and domestic brands, and many products are not recognized by department stores.
Sewing machine enterprises should lock in business opportunities
The development of garment industry in Henan is a good opportunity for China's sewing machinery enterprises. At present, local clothing manufacturers mostly use home-made sewing equipment. For example, over 80% of the two leading enterprises in Henan, such as leading show and Ya Li Da, are made in China.
With the economic and social development of Henan province and the shift of garment industry to the central region, the sewing equipment distribution enterprises in Henan developed rapidly. In the 1-5 months of this year, the sales volume of enterprises increased by more than 30%, and some of them exceeded 50%.
However, due to various factors such as economy and geography, the size of garment industry in Henan is not large, and the service enterprises are mainly small and medium sized, so the distribution market of sewing equipment is relatively small.
At present, there are only 200 distributors in the province, of which 50 are in Zhengzhou, mainly in West Station Road and South University road. The annual sales volume of sewing equipment in the whole province is nearly 300 million yuan, among which there are 2 distributors with annual sales of more than 50 million yuan, and 5 dealers with annual sales of more than 10 million yuan, while the other distributors have annual sales of less than 10 million yuan.
At the same time, there are also hidden troubles in the process of growth: first, market competition is chaotic, credit, price war and other phenomena are quite common.
The pressure of business operation is relatively large. Since the second half of last year, the market environment has become more serious by the impact of some foreign brands' price cuts.
Two, the quality of domestic products is unstable and the competitiveness is weak.
In the process of investigation, the most common problems of garment enterprises to domestic equipment are: high failure rate of electric control, poor material wear resistance, unstable product quality, oil leakage, noise and so on. Product development and quality assurance are still a gap in front of domestic brands.
Three is the lack of maintenance workers, the level of maintenance needs to be improved.
Some garment enterprises and distributors have vague understanding of the quality of maintenance personnel. The training mode of maintenance personnel is relatively traditional, lacking unified teaching materials, and the overall quality and professional skills of maintenance workers are not high.
Yang Xiaojing, secretary general, believes that domestic enterprises should make great efforts in terms of stability, applicability and after-sale service in view of the high failure rate, poor material wear resistance and poor stability of equipment produced by garment enterprises.
He said that the results of the distributor's work are concentrated on the market share of a product brand, but the market share index is not the only one. It can not unilaterally pursue market share at the expense of simple price strategy and sacrifice of quality and service. It should start from the actual needs and potential needs of the end-users, and introduce the advanced and applicable technology of the production enterprises to users. It can help users improve labor productivity, reduce energy consumption, improve process flow and improve product quality.
