Ten National Standards For Clothing?

Since January 1st, ten national standards of clothing have been formally implemented. The new standard has made specific provisions on the pH value and formaldehyde content of garments, including suits, work clothes and woven student clothes.

Recently, I visited the clothing market of Harbin City and found that the new GB has been implemented for more than 7 months. Most of the garments on the market have not yet indicated the pH value and formaldehyde content.

In Harbin City, Nangang District, Jin Street, a shop selling women's clothing, most of the clothing tag only marked the name, no pH value and formaldehyde content.

The author picked up a lady's lattice shirt and sniffed it. It had a pungent taste. When asked about the boss's reason, the boss was puzzled. He immediately said that the new clothes were all smelling, and they were washed for two times.

In a brand clothing store in the Yellow River Road, the author and sales staff found that they did not understand the new standard of clothing issued by the state.

"Our clothes are made by regular manufacturers. They are all good fabrics, and the quality of products is absolutely assured."

In some garment wholesale markets such as clothing city and China World Trade Center, no label phenomenon is more common.

Most of the clothing labels in many clothing stores simply wrote several letters, and some even hung up the cards.

In the interview, I found that most people do not know that clothing has pH value and formaldehyde content. A lot of people do not care whether these two indicators are up to standard.

"Clothing and human body direct contact, if the quality is not up to standard, harm can not be underestimated."

For the current situation of clothing standards in Harbin market is not perfect, the provincial fiber inspection bureau responsible person expressed concern.

The official said that the pH value of normal skin is acidic, which is between 4.5 and 6.5. If the pH value of clothing is too high, it will irritate the skin and cause skin diseases. If the formaldehyde content is not up to standard, it will invade the viscera of the body, which will lead to tuberculosis and even cancer.
