Wang Jianping: How Do Textile Enterprises Control The Quality Of Domestic Sales?
"The growth of China's textile industry will depend more and more.
domestic market
But if we do not have good control in developing the domestic market, we will not be able to do so.
Wang Jianping, general manager of China market department, Intertek (Tianxiang) group, emphasized in his interview with China's "fiber inspection".
It is understood that since the outbreak of the global financial crisis in 2008, China's domestic market has played a key role in stabilizing the recovery of the textile industry.
However, under the background of the state's supervision over the quality of textiles and clothing, unqualified products have been repeatedly exposed, and new quality regulations and new standards have been constantly updated and perfected.
How should the textile enterprises deal with the big situation and the big trend of the domestic sales quality?
Necessity and urgency of domestic sales control
Reporter: Hello, Professor Wang. We know China.
textile industry
It has always been a "highly extroverted" industry. Why do we need to control and control the quality of domestic textile and clothing?
Wang Jianping: the quality control of textile sales in China has been there for a long time, because a product must be sold to the domestic market to ensure its quality and to be responsible to consumers.
This is also true in international trade.
The regulation of domestic sales of products has been relatively strict before, but the situation has changed recently, especially with some new requirements of safety and environment.
In the past, for many Chinese enterprises, they were more concerned about exports, especially for light industry, and they hoped to gain share in the international market.
But in the context of today's financial crisis, enterprises are more dependent on the growth of the domestic market.
In the process of domestic market growth, the standardization of product quality monitoring is particularly important.
Now the government pays more attention to the safety of consumer goods and the safety of consumers in the process of using.
Another is the order in the market, if there is no standard and testing to control, the market will be chaotic, and it is irresponsible for consumers.
Now, the state strengthens the control over the quality of domestic sales. I think it is very necessary, and the overall effect is very good.

Reporter: what is the quality of textile products in the domestic market?
Wang Jianping: from the actual situation, it is quite good, especially textiles. On the whole, the quality of our domestic products is very good.
In recent years, a lot of work has been done in standardization and quality control, but there are still some problems such as unqualified products, media exposure and so on.
I try to analyze these situations. From the current information, more media are exposed by smaller enterprises and some enterprises which are not standardized in operation and management. They may also be in the process of listing without strict supervision and inspection reports by authoritative organizations.
But we also found that some famous brands at home and abroad also had some problems in the market monitoring, and many of the imported products of international well-known brands failed in the domestic product quality checks.
Reporter: we have also noticed the frequent occurrence of quality problems in international brands. What do you think are the main problems?
Wang Jianping: I think the main reason is that now the Chinese market is getting bigger and bigger, and many foreign brands are squeezed into the Chinese market.
But because these foreign brands have long focused on their own standards or foreign standards, they think their products are of good quality.
However, there are some differences between our domestic quality standard system and foreign standard system, especially the difference in details.
In this way, many overseas brands are not very familiar with China's domestic quality standard system, or they may not be aware of it very well, which will lead to their quality problems after they enter the Chinese market.
From the present point of view, many overseas brands have noticed the importance of this problem, and have begun to improve it to meet the requirements of China.
Reporter: what are the quality problems in the domestic textile market?
Wang Jianping: now the domestic textile consumer goods overall speaking, the quality is good, much higher than before.
However, there are still some problems that are not always ruled out. Of course, some of them are integrity problems, but more are the problems that some enterprises are not paying enough attention to.
From the information currently exposed, it mainly focuses on three aspects: the first is the safety problem, and there is no index at the beginning, so we do not have this awareness. Therefore, there are more unqualified products from the spot checks. Later, it began to pay attention to it. Now it has been improved very well, and the unqualified products are much less than before.
The second problem is that the problem of product labeling remains high. In fact, many enterprises are not because products are not good, but product labels are not standardized.
In recent years, this problem has been high in the failure rate of products.
Our country has a mandatory standard for labeling products, and many domestic enterprises do not attach enough importance to it, resulting in unqualified products.
This situation is totally avoidable.
The third aspect is fiber content, which is still more important because it involves some integrity problems.
As for fiber content, there are not many domestic fraudulent practices. However, the proportion of products that do not coincide with the actual inspection results is quite large. It is not ruled out that some of them intentionally reduce the content of some components, but most of them are caused by the non-standard management of enterprises.
At present, the problems in our domestic market regulation mainly focus on these three aspects.
But in general, it has been greatly improved over the past few years.

Reporter: what advice will you give to the textile enterprises or what solutions will be provided?
Wang Jianping: some enterprises believe that the quality inspection system has too many links and is too cumbersome.
My view is that enterprises should implement quality control in the production process instead of simply putting quality control in the final stage.
This will lead to a situation. If the product is not qualified at the last moment, then the products will have to be returned.
Many textile and garment enterprises will have such a situation.
So I suggest Enterprises: first, when your product is ready to choose what material to design, we should do some basic testing at this time.
If the raw materials are selected and the design process is completed, if the intermediate production process is strictly checked, there should be no problems.
The final product inspection can be solved in advance, in addition to some indicators that are consistent with the final product.
On the whole, this can reduce the cost of quality testing and reduce risk.
Reporter: do you have any other points to add?
Wang Jianping: now everyone is very concerned about the future of the domestic market.
From China's accession to the World Trade Organization in 2001 to 2008, the total export volume of China's clothing and textiles is very large, with an average increase of around twenty percent.
However, due to the rapid development of China's economy in recent years, the cost of all kinds of products will also increase. As a labor-intensive industry, the textile industry can still last for a period of time, but the huge capacity of China's textile industry needs to find a way out, and the domestic market is "an inevitable choice", because the per capita fiber consumption ability of the country is still at a low level.
