In response to this report, three German companies named after the list responded.

A spokesman for Adidas said in an interview with the South German newspaper that Adidas will take criticism seriously and verify it.

Metro said in a statement that the company has always been committed to implementing the labor standards of the International Labour Organization as fully as possible in the Chinese market.

Hardi also partially acknowledged the bad situation, but the German biggest retailer said it was difficult to find out which supplier was having such a problem with a general description. The company always worked with suppliers to improve the social welfare and labor standards.

In response to these big businesses, the German N-TV television commented on the program titled "the retail giants on the humiliation column" that Foxconn is not a single case, and German companies are letting workers in China.
