A few days ago, in view of the quality checks of swimsuits and sportswear circulated in Shanghai, as well as the random sampling of casual wear in Guangzhou, the quality incidents of large scale areas of related products were exposed.

Among them, the Shanghai Bureau of industry and Commerce found 21 batches of substandard products, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the total spot checks. In Guangzhou, 109 samples of casual wear were found. The qualified rate of physical quality was only 68.8%, and the rate of pass rate exceeded 30%.

The two places have continued the trend of frequent quality problems in the domestic garment industry in recent years.

Swimsuits occupy 13 batches of 21 batches of unqualified goods in Shanghai, while sportswear occupies 8 batches.

Some well-known domestic brands including Newbalance, Tony Will, XTEP, and admirers have also entered the list.

Among them, Newbalance, Tony Will, AVIA and other three batches of products were detected unqualified pH value, such as the "Camelactive" brand knitted sweater produced by Tony Will (Shanghai) Garments Co., Ltd. (model specification: M/S, No. 131020993), pH value (B class) exceeded the standard, and the measured value was 9.5.

According to past reality, PH exceeding standard will destroy the skin's balance and resistance, cause inflammation, induce infection, and damage the sweat gland system and nervous system of human body.

Therefore, the national standard stipulates that the pH value of B textiles directly contacting the skin should be between 4.0-7.5.

At present, pH disqualified products have come down, as Tony Will said in the first foreign statement that the company has come down and recalls all the clothing batches that are selling quality problems. Tony Will believes that the main cause of the problems is to buy clothing fabric.

Among the substandard products in Shanghai, many come from regular large department stores, some of which are located in the golden area of the downtown area, belonging to the "most high-end shopping centers".

In the shopping malls that sell substandard products, there are Shanghai colourful department store Limited, Shanghai Ongoing Department Store Limited, Shanghai mealong Town Square Co., Ltd., Shanghai Dongbao Department Store Co., Ltd.

Among them, Dongbao department store was found out of 3 batches of substandard products, and Shanghai Cai Zi department store Limited had two batches of products with defective pH value.
