As a successful independent bag designer, she has a wonderful way to let customers pay.
In 1989, Lulu Guinness, who was not willing to live in plain life after her marriage, designed her first bag. It only took a year to finish the lacquer briefcase with bright lintel lining and many pparent bags, and the price was as high as 300.
However, it was very popular in the famous department stores in London, such as Liberty and Joseph, and Lulu formally embarked on the road of bag designer.
Her early design was practical.
Once the briefcase was red, she also designed a neutral baby bag for her young mother who could go back to work.
"Why not design something more like you? For example, your usual antique bag?" with the encouragement of the agents, Lulu, who bought clothes from the antique market from childhood, went back to herself, and began to launch the "handbag" handbag that she became famous.

I'm not a high-tech person. I don't even use computers, but I like to try things that others haven't done.
It is my duty to let customers have something to do in my shop and make them happy.
Q:Lulu Guinness bag is famous for its creativity, but is it important in the competitive accessories world?
A: we must strike a balance between creativity and commercialization.
In the past, everyone was very snobbish about choosing partners, but now everyone is very keen.
You can sell new lines both at Browns and other senior department stores, and at the same time work with H&M.
I used to design a series for Debenhams, and saw many people in the street holding my bags and feeling very proud.
Maybe that's why we can survive so far.
Q: Japanese people like your design very much. Is the market there bigger than the British market?
A: the Japanese market has always been our strength, which sells more than 10 million a year, because Japanese people like to dress up in theatrical style.
But in the UK, we now have 85 stores, which contribute 65% of wholesale sales to us.
We will continue to expand overseas, especially in the Far East market.
Q: what do you think of "It bag"?
A: "It bag" is the least interesting thing in the world.
Nowadays, customers are tired of big brands. They know that they are paying for big advertising, so they are looking for more sophisticated products.
During the recession, our performance is always good, because our design is ingenious, which makes everyone feel good about it.
Q: who do you admire most?
A: French fashion designer EsaSchiaparelli, who is the first to bring humor and humor into fashion.
Hat designer StephenJones, I think he is also cool. He has a deep understanding and love for fashion and luxury.
I also worshipped Fashion Journalist Suzy Menkes, who gave her great support when we started our career.
Q: which is the best seller in all the bags you have designed?
A: Rose basket bag, and it still sells well today.
And the handbag with lip shape is also very popular nowadays.
Q: what is the most proudest thing in your design career?
A: she received the medal of honor from the queen of England. She was very talkative and asked me if I had to travel frequently because of my work.
Q: it's been 20 years since you created the brand. Which season have you preferred so far?
A: I enjoy every series of design processes, and I get inspiration from old fabrics, fairs, movies and so on.
I especially like the 2009 autumn and winter, because over the years, my favorite idols and prints have been reproduced in this series.
Q: besides your bag designer, what kind of job do you dream of doing?
A: I want to work in the Vitoria Albert Museum in London and work as a researcher in the fashion department.
I also want to be an actress.
Q: what do you think you will do in the next 20 years?
A: I want to do TV shows.
I will not become another Brix Smith-Start, a partner of Start in London boutique. I often watch TV in recent years. I want to be an old-fashioned journalist to make more serious and professional programs. I like live programs.
Besides, I have many plans which I can not disclose at present.
Q: How did you spend your ordinary day?
A: I haven't had an ordinary day, and I'm changing every day.
Most of the time in the office is used for meetings with people from department stores, talking about future cooperation projects and showing new samples.
In order to keep energetic, I drink lots of coffee and low calorie cola.
After coming home from work, I have to accompany my two daughters and my puppy Woffle.
Q: what are you most inseparable from?
A: my children, red lipstick, bag, laughter...
There can't be too much.
