Recently, the US House of Representatives passed a bill that is expected to sell textiles to Hongkong and the mainland to the United States.

The house of Representatives passed the H.R. 3116 act in September 15th to expand the appendix (DFARS) of the federal defense procurement rules (DFARS), namely the Berry amendment (Amendment), which requires the pport safety bureau and the coast guard agencies to buy 100% of American made textiles and clothing unless they are not produced in the United States or are unable to be purchased at reasonable prices and time.

The Berry Amendment Act hopes to extend the requirement to other institutions in the United States, including the Department of homeland security, the WTO government procurement department, and so on.

Senators said they would discuss the legislation in the near future.

At the same time, a separate measure is required to ask the federal government to buy 100% American made national flag or to use 100 percent of the materials that are grown, produced and manufactured in the United States.

According to the regulations, the US flag Act (H.R. 2853) will not allow the federal flag to be manufactured by other countries.

The bill will come into effect 180 days after the announcement.
