Domestic And Foreign Cotton Prices Diverge

Shandong has formulated many "hard targets" for the storage and supply of four kinds of agricultural products.

The regulation requirements for food products are: 3 months in the production area, 6 months sales volume in the sales area, increasing the proportion of finished grain and Japonica Rice in the local grain reserves, large and medium-sized cities and municipal government stations, ensuring the supply capacity over 10 days; ensuring edible vegetable oil to complete 74 thousand tons of local reserves by the end of this year; ensuring 30 thousand tons of local reserves for the pork; and establishing a provincial cotton reserve system for cotton.

It is reported that Shandong will set up a joint meeting system of large agricultural products market regulation and control, and deploy measures to deal with the serious imbalance of supply and demand and price fluctuations in a short period of time.

At the same time, the government reserves the resources, timely, accurate and effective delivery of the market.

It is noteworthy that in this regulation, the backbone enterprises with large scale, high level of industrialization, and sound network of purchase and sale will be selected to participate in market regulation.

Specific control tasks such as special acquisition, processing, storage and pportation, sales and emergency supply are issued, and commissioned units shall be compensated accordingly according to regulations.

The government will coordinate the relevant departments and units to give priority to ensuring the required funds or capacity.

Insiders say that it is impossible for the state to set up a storage center for all kinds of agricultural products, so that strong backbone enterprises can take part in the purchase and storage of agricultural products, thus reducing the blindness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
