Lack Of Development Standard Testing Promoted By Nanotechnology And Development Bottleneck

    2010/12/13 14:26:00 60

    Nano Standard Test

The emergence of nanotechnology has opened up a new way for the development of functional textiles and provided more possibilities for the development of textile industry.

Since the advent of nanomaterials in 1991, after nearly 30 years of development, nanotechnology has matured and nanotechnology has been widely applied in industry.

As a newly rising new and high technology, nanotechnology has attracted the attention of the scientific community since its appearance. It has been recognized as the most promising high-tech in this century.

Now, the major developed countries in the world have focused their research on the development and application of nanomaterials.

Nanomaterials and technologies have been widely applied in the fields of electronics, chemical engineering and light textile.

The application fields of nanomaterials in China are mainly textiles, plastics and building materials. Textile industry accounts for 20% of them. The textile industry mainly uses nanomaterials for the development of functional textiles.

    Nanotechnology

It has great development value and development prospect in textile finishing, printing and dyeing.

Nanotechnology is widely used in functional textiles.

The application of nanotechnology to the textile industry is mainly to develop nanomaterials for functional textiles.

At present, the most widely used in developing functional textiles is the combination of nanomaterials and textile materials. Most nanocomposites are added to chemical fibers, textiles or slurry and auxiliaries.

Because of the different powder materials, the function of the textile is also different.

At present, the functional textiles that are widely used in nanotechnology include ultra double fabric, UV resistant textiles, bionic nano structured chromophoric textiles, far red line nanofibers and textiles, antibacterial and deodorant fabrics, Antistatic Fabrics, anti aging and aging fabrics, and stealth.

Flame retardant fabric and so on.

Because of the great changes in physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials, nanotechnology is expected to become a bridge between the micro world and the macro world.

Adding nanofibers or nanoscale particles into textiles can give the product some or more new functions, especially in the field of industrial textiles.

At present, the development direction of functional textiles is to integrate various functions, such as flame retardant, bacteria control, far infrared and negative ions, so as to achieve better results.

Therefore, the diversification of product functionality will be a popular direction for the development of nanotechnology textiles in the future.

"Nano Star Materials" in textile materials

In recent years, a great breakthrough has been made in the theoretical and applied research of nanomaterials. Nanomaterials have been playing an increasingly important role in the development of chemical fibers because of their special catalytic activity, strong magnetism, high optical absorbency, peculiar electrical properties and health care.

As a functional addition material for chemical fiber, there are more and more kinds of nanomaterials.

    The main nanomaterials include:

Carbon nanotubes: carbon nanotubes are excellent.

    Conductive body

The conductivity is better than that of copper, which can be evenly dispersed in the chemical fiber spinning fluid as functional additives, and can produce functional fibers or fabrics with good conductivity or antistatic properties at different concentrations. The carbon nanotubes are light weight and high elastic modulus, and can be used as composite additives for producing high-strength and high elastic fibers.

Nano titanium dioxide (TiO2): titanium dioxide nanomaterials are a stable, non-toxic ultraviolet absorber, which can be dispersed evenly in polymer materials and absorb ultraviolet radiation. It can effectively prevent the degradation of polymer chains and reduce the occurrence of free radicals, so as to achieve the effect of sun resistance and anti-aging.

Titanium dioxide nanomaterials have strong absorption of light.

Therefore, the UV resistant chemical fiber or fabric made of additives can not only completely resist the damage of UV-A and UV-B to human body, but also reflect visible and infrared rays, and has the function of heat insulation.

Nano Zinc Oxide (ZnO): nano Zinc Oxide is a nano material with antibacterial, antibacterial and deodorizing functions.

The blend fiber or composite is introduced into chemical fiber to produce antibacterial chemical fiber.

Nano metal oxides: metal oxide nanomaterials have functions of far infrared absorption.

Far infrared fibers made from far-infrared nanomaterials, especially far-infrared polypropylene fibers, have excellent health care function, heat effect function, moisture removal, breathability and bacteriostatic function. They are mainly used in health products, field work clothes, sunshade umbrellas and decorative fabrics.

Lack of standard testing for development bottleneck

At present, there are many kinds of functional textiles developed by nanotechnology, but few of them are recognized by consumers.

Nano antibacterial textiles are the most acceptable functional textiles for consumers.

Now, nanoscale antibacterial textiles have been seen in a large number of countries, and their development trend is good, but the research on safety and health is far behind the development of products.

For this reason, experts suggest that in the future, we must strengthen the research work in this field, so that the textile industry can form a sustained and effective pull for the nanomaterials industry.

In particular, from the perspective of long-term ecological security, the evaluation, detection and identification of nanomaterials in textile materials also require the three party testing and evaluation institutions such as universities and research institutes to undertake the important task of public supervision and inspection.

At the same time, we need to strengthen the basic research work of nano textiles. For example, when nano auxiliaries are used to finish textile finishing, the adhesion rate of nanoparticles on textiles, the way of adhering to the surface of fibers or the internal fibers, there is no effective characterization and determination methods.

This is bound to guarantee the quality of nano textiles and the development of nano textiles.

Most of the standards of functional nano textiles have not yet been published, so how to evaluate them has also become a big problem.

At present, the lack of standards and testing methods has become a bottleneck in the development of nano functional textiles.

Therefore, improving the textile testing technology and studying the ecological standard suitable for nano functional textiles has become the top priority in promoting the development of nanomaterials industry.

With the continuous progress of science and technology, we believe that nano technology will open up a new world in the fields of textile, fiber and printing and dyeing. More and better nano textiles will become a new highlight of textile technology in twenty-first Century.
