    At present, the monthly supply of caprolactam in China will be stable at more than 44 thousand tons.

    He also believes that the ongoing anti-dumping of caprolactam does not limit the normal import of the country, because the amount of imported goods accounts for 34% of the total imports.


    However, more people are still worried about the supply of caprolactam in China.

    According to the analysis, 5 new caprolactam projects in China will take 2~3 years to fully supply the market.

    Prior to that, coupled with the harm of anti-dumping, the supply of caprolactam was still tight, and the source of high quality raw materials was narrowed.


    Tang Jun, Secretary General of polyamide Specialized Committee of China Chemical Fiber Association, used data to show that in 2009, domestic caprolactam production was 330 thousand and 600 tons, import volume was 601 thousand and 300 tons, and import dependency was 64.64%.

    From this year's situation, no new capacity has been put into operation in China, but the demand for caprolactam is still increasing, and the supply situation can be imagined.

    But at least we can draw some conclusions: China's caprolactam industry is developing, but in the short term it is difficult to affect the market. At the same time, foreign suppliers do not welcome these new capacity.

    Under the stimulation of the two ends, based on the rapid progress of nylon polymerization technology, plus the termination of the last caprolactam anti-dumping measures in 2008, and the reduction in the import tariffs of caprolactam to 5%, the polymerization capacity increased riveting.

    Because upstream raw materials are still in the era of monopolistic competition, the downstream spinning mills have relatively thin margins and narrow profit margins.

    He analyzed the large fluctuation of nylon Market in July this year because of unstable raw material supply, frequent adjustment of operating rate by polymerization enterprises, and instability of market supply and demand.


    Under such circumstances, the factories that are only aggregated will have greater risks than the enterprises with relatively complete industrial chains.

    Charles Fryer, chairman of the world nylon industry and 75 year old chairman of the British company, said in an interview with reporters that taking into account China's own needs, the development of caprolactam is a must go way.

    But the rapid expansion of aggregate capacity worried him.

    He suggested that enterprises should not invest in new polymerization and spinning capacity in recent years, so that the release of caprolactam production in China after 2~3 years can bring and maintain a new balance in the long run.

    Deng Jun pointed out that the consumption of automotive airbag wire will gradually increase, which will be a bright spot for the future of nylon industrial yarn. Nylon filament velvet carpet will be more widely used in decorative yarns. Nylon engineering plastics will grow at 8%~10% in the next 5 years, and is expected to reach 235 thousand tons in 2010.

    At the same time, the cleaner production standard of nylon industry has been completed and approved, and the relevant alliance of nylon industry is also in preparation.

    The change of industrial structure reflects the rising of China's Nylon industry from the side.
