    In the development of new composite nonwovens, the United States has developed a new type of cotton fiber composite nonwovens, the thermal bonded non-woven fabrics with cotton and polypropylene fibers on the surface, and two or three layers of composite materials with spunbonded fabrics. The products are similar to pure cotton knitted fabrics, and have good strength and elongation, water absorption and water retention, fast suction speed and low pilling performance. After finishing, the instant elastic recovery rate of the elongation reaches 50% to reach 83% ~ 93%, which is suitable for making medical isolation clothing and disposable underwear.

    In addition, the new generation of biochemical protective clothing developed by the US Army makes full use of the advantages of three kinds of fabrics woven, knitted and non-woven. The outer layer of the protective clothing is tearing nylon / cotton fiber poplin, which is treated by water repellent treatment. The lining is non-woven with activated carbon and the most inside layer is tricot warp knitted fabric.

    Nonwovens, however, have the characteristics of not easily dispersing and slipping, which can directly involve selvage design and do not need to ironing and locking the edges of garments. This is different from woven fabrics and knitted fabrics.

    It is optimistic about the advantages of sewing technology of non-woven fabrics, and many researchers and enterprises are brave enough to face risks and develop products.

    In recent years, the research focuses on how to improve the drapability, abrasion resistance, resilience and resilience of non-woven fabrics, and make them suitable for durable fabric.


    The BBAFiberweb and DowChemical joint venture developed a new spunbond elastic nonwovens. The fibers are core and core fibers. The core layer is an elastomer. The cortex is a polymer with excellent elongation. By adjusting the different proportions of the two components of the core, the spun bonded nonwovens have very good elasticity, low elastic modulus, and high strength and dimensional stability. This provides the possibility for spunbonded nonwovens to make durable clothing.


    Japan cola and domestic enterprises are jointly developing ultra-fine fiber spunbond non-woven fabrics, using Ex cevaltm soluble resin and PP or PE, PA and other composite spinning, one component is PP (or PE, PA), the other combination is Excevaltm.


    Exce valtm can be dissolved in water below 90 degrees. It can also be biodegradable. It can absorb water and is hydrophilic. It has thermal adhesion with PP (or PE, PA) and is very easy to mesh.

    This spunbonded nonwoven fabric has much better water absorbability than the conventional spunbonded fabric. Although its surface density is small, its strength can still be the same as that of traditional spunbonded fabric, so it is a good material for durable clothing.


    Spunlaced nonwovens have the characteristics of soft handle, bulging, high moisture absorption and wide use of fiber materials. They are the most suitable non-woven fabrics for clothing. Therefore, most of them are applied in durable clothing.

    The US patent has reported a durable spunlaced nonwovens with good abrasion resistance and drapability. It is not easy to pilling and has good color fastness. When the elongation of the vertical machine is 50%, the recovery rate can reach 90% and can be washed at least 25 times.

    The non-woven fabric has good elasticity, and is suitable for making shirts and coats for everyday wear. It has the characteristics of close comfortableness, good mechanical strength and beautiful appearance. It is an ideal clothing material.
