We usually buy shoes, buy bags and buy leather belts.

First, the definition and classification of leather.

1, leather: the finished product with good air permeability and flexibility after processing, which is called natural leather.

The dermis is situated under the epidermis, between the epidermis and the subcutaneous tissue.

2, leather can be divided into top leather and two layer leather according to the leather level. The top layer leather is divided into grain leather, shaving leather, embossed leather and special effect leather.

3, grain leather: in many leather varieties, full grain leather tops the list, because it is made from the superior raw material of less damaged skin. The leather surface is kept in good natural condition, and the coating is thin, which can show the natural flower pattern of animal skin.

It is not only wearable, but also has good air permeability.

Shaving leather: it is made by grinding the surface with a leather grinder and finishing it on the corresponding pattern.

In fact, it is "cosmetic" on the natural leather surface that is damaged or rough.

4, full grain leather characteristics: complete retention of grain, clear pores, fine, tight, irregular arrangement, full and detailed surface, elastic and good air permeability, is a high-grade leather.

Half grain leather characteristics: in the production process, the equipment is processed and grinded into only half of the grain surface, so it is called half grain leather.

It keeps some of the natural leather's style. The pores are flat and oval, irregular in arrangement, and hard in hand. Generally, the raw materials with poor grades are chosen.

So it belongs to leather.

Due to the particularity of the process, its surface has no disability and scars, and its utilization rate is high. Its finished products are not easy to deform, so they are generally used in large box products.

5, two layers of leather characteristics: the reverse is cowhide's second layer leather material, and the surface is coated with a layer of PU resin.

Its price is cheaper and its utilization rate is high.

With the change of technology, it has also been made into various grades, such as imported two layers of cowhide. Because of its unique technology, stable quality and novel varieties, the price and grade of the top grade leather are no less than that of the top layer of leather.

Two, artificial leather.

1, artificial leather: a product similar to natural leather made by chemical methods.

According to its structure, it can be divided into two kinds: synthetic leather and artificial leather.

The characteristics of synthetic leather are:

(1) good corrosion resistance.

(2) smooth surface, uniform material, deep surface does not exist the defects of natural leather.

(3) poor air permeability.

(4) intolerance to high temperature and high cold, which is determined by the material properties.

The characteristics of artificial leather are:

Light, thin and soft, suitable for soft shoes.

The strength is not as good as the whole leather, and the scratch is not enough.

Artificial leather has poor air permeability and sweat absorption.

2, the classification of artificial leather: according to the nature of material, it can be divided into two categories.

PU leather: PU is polyurethane, and PU leather refers to an artificial leather product with PU coating surface. It is characterized by its softness, folding resistance and hygroscopicity.

PVC leather; the first generation of PVC artificial leather; it is made of textile or knitted materials.

Pimethylene resin is a imitation leather product coated with natural leather.

3, pfer film leather: a fake grain surface is made by special finishing on the two surface skin, or the fake grain mask is pasted on the two skin to imitate the full grain or special effect upper leather.

Differentiation: the back part of PU and PVC leather is either fiber or sponge, and the back of the leather is natural meat surface. The back of the pfer leather is also natural meat surface, but the surface has artificial leather composition, and the cross section has obvious layering.

4, the surface feel of artificial leather and synthetic leather is similar to that of genuine leather, but air permeability, wear resistance and cold resistance are not as good as genuine leather.

How to distinguish?

Leather surface: leather leather has its own special natural pattern, leather surface gloss nature, when hand pressing or kneading leather surface, the leather surface has no dead wrinkle or dead fold, and no cracks; and the leather surface of artificial leather is like the real leather, but it is not natural to look at the pattern, the gloss is really bright, the color is bright, the fingers are pressed on the leather surface, there is no obvious pore wrinkle, even if there are wrinkles after pressing, it will not disappear obviously.

Leather: leather is soft and tough, while imitation leather is soft, but it is not strong enough.

When the leather is tortuous, the leather is bent back naturally and the elasticity is better.
