Focus On Hongkong Fashion Festival: Focus On Trade And Creativity
The forty-second Hongkong Fashion Festival autumn winter series sponsored by the Hongkong Trade Development Council and the 9 Hongkong international fashion collection were held at the Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Centre in from January 17th to 20th. The two exhibition was held in the same period. At the two exhibition, there were about 2000 fashion series from 28 countries and regions. During the period, there were many fashion shows and fashion industry seminars.
11 theme areas of Hongkong Fashion Festival Trade
Hongkong Fashion Festival 2011 autumn and winter series of exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, including Hongkong, mainland China, Macao, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Canada, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Britain, the United States and Vietnam. This year, the Hongkong Fashion Festival autumn and winter series has 11 theme exhibition areas, closely related to the development of the industry.
The theme pavilions include fashion houses, fashion galleries and fashion. Ornaments Underwear, clothing, baby and Children's Wear The bride dress, evening wear, cloth and yarn products, garment accessories, business services and inspection and certification services such as quality assurance and other professional services. In addition, the exhibition area of "EmporiumdeMode" (department store) has increased by 47% over the past year, showing more creative and hand-made fashion lines.

This year, the international fashion collection of Hongkong was first attended by exhibitors from Egypt and Seychelles. Many industry associations also participated in the exhibition, including the Hongkong Footwear Association, the Hongkong Fashion Designers Association, the Hongkong fur industry association, the wool textile Innovation and Design Association, the Tokyo Fashion Designers Association and Taiwan Textile Association.
The "Hongkong gorgeous show" grand ceremony, which was held on the night of the opening ceremony, invited four internationally renowned fashion designers to participate in the exhibition of their latest works. They are: Maruyama Keita of Japan, DoiiLee of Korea, Wang Peiyi of Beijing and Zheng Zhaoliang of Hongkong.
Hongkong's international fashion collection provides strong support for Hongkong's local design oriented small businesses. Hongkong Fashion Festival is for trade, while Hongkong fashion highlights is the recommendation of local design and creativity as the main purpose of the exhibition.
Design competition to excavate a native New Show
The Hongkong youth fashion designer performance competition 2011 finals will be held in January 18th. 16 young designers will show their outstanding works to the professional jury.
The judges of this competition are judged by the renowned French designer and chief designer of RueduMail, MartineSitbon, and the chief judge is Mr. Fang Gang, chairman of the Hongkong Garment Industry Advisory Committee of TDC. Liang Yongsheng, Huang Ziwei, Wu Weile and Ren Minghui, the four winners of the past competitions, displayed their design works on the theme of "PhantomPlay". {page_break}
Theme activities closely linked to industry
During the exhibition, the conference arranged a number of different fashion shows, including the fashion brand show, showing different countries' brands, including MODELEdePRUDENCE (Hongkong), Qin Yi (mainland China), tokyoeye (Japan) and Soucha (Egypt). In addition, the industry leaders from all over the world are invited to chair seminars and share experiences. The international authoritative fashion forecasting agency came to Hong Kong to host a number of fashion trends, including WGSN from the United Kingdom, FashionSnoops and Stylesight from the United States. The French brand RueduMail also sent experts to chair the seminar, sharing the brand's successful global strategy and fashion creation production process, and displaying the design of the brand 2011 spring summer series.
In addition, the Hongkong Fashion Festival Organizing Committee has also worked with the Japanese Trade Promotion Agency (JapaneseExternalTradeOrganization) to invite Japanese fashion representatives and Japanese fashion news reporters to deconstruct the secrets of Japanese fashion success.
The total export value of clothing and accessories in Hongkong in the first 11 months of 2010 was HK $171 billion 400 million, an increase of 5.4% over the same period last year. The five main export markets are the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan and France.
