Silk Industry Continues To Maintain An Upward Trend

Key words 1 export growth: industry efficiency continues to improve

According to the statistics of the National Bureau of statistics, the production of raw silk in China's Enterprises above Designated Size last year was 135 thousand tons in the last 1~10 months, down 1.47% from the same period last year. The output of spun silk was 45 thousand and 500 tons, an increase of 22.95% over the same period last year. The silk and its interwoven fabrics were 638 million meters, up 5.41% over the same period last year.

According to statistics from the National Bureau of statistics on 3484 silk industrial enterprises, the gross output value of the silk industry reached 124 billion 500 million yuan in the last 1~8 months, an increase of 25.84% over the same period last year. The main business income was 121 billion 800 million yuan, up 28.56% over the same period last year, and realized a profit of 4 billion 330 million yuan, an increase of 69.6% over the same period last year.

Among them, filming processing realized a profit of 1 billion 92 million yuan, an increase of 120.08% compared with the same period last year. The processing profit of silk fabric was 1 billion 785 million yuan, an increase of 61.08% compared with the same period last year. The profit of silk printing was 224 million yuan, an increase of 51.31% over the same period last year.

According to the association's statistics of 159 enterprises, 1~10 realized profit of 840 million yuan last year, an increase of 38.27% over the same period last year.

The profit of each sub sector has increased considerably.

Comment: the economic efficiency of the industry has improved steadily, but the export of Chinese silk products has not reached the level before the outbreak of the financial crisis.

We should also be soberly aware that many unfavorable factors restricting the development of the industry still exist. The recovery of the world economy is obviously slowing down, the competition in the international market has intensified, the exchange rate fluctuation in the financial market has increased, monetary policy has tightened up, the interest rates of banks have been raised, and all kinds of prime costs have entered a period of rising. Enterprises will still face greater pressure of production and operation and business risks.

2011 is the first year of China's "12th Five-Year" plan. China's cocoon and silk industry should make efforts to readjust its structure, pform its development mode, increase its technological innovation, make itself stronger and stronger, enhance its own ability to resist risks, actively expand the domestic demand market, optimize the export market structure, improve the quality and efficiency of foreign trade, and jointly promote the steady and healthy development of China's cocoon and silk industry in the new era.
