2011 New York Fashion Week Show Is Thrifty And Frugal.
Looking back at the fashion show Tom Ford showed last autumn at flagship store in Madison Avenue, New York, it is still a masterpiece.
The lights on the stage are not so noisy. There are only one photographer and one hundred guests with limited quota. This fashion show has become another shining sign after Tom Ford's return to the fashion industry. Since the 90s of last century as director of Gucci design, Forde has long been a master of the show.
"I hope that fashion will again show the interest of the 60s of last century," Tom said in an interview. "Now you have just seen the show in the show, and you can see these new clothes on the Internet within a few hours."
So I only invited a photographer and a limited guest -- hoping to bring these explosive messages back to the original rhythm.
This may well explain why so many designers chose to "go back" in New York fashion week, which opened on February 9th.
They abandoned the past flashy and focused their attention on the unique style display.
"When the fashion show has moved to the Great Wall, we should ask ourselves, what kind of gimmick should we make in the next show?"
Speaking of the 2007 Fendi fashion show, the Coline Choay, the marketing director of fashion brand Altuzarra, can't stop thinking about Altuzarra.
"In this era, with the participation of micro-blog and bloggers, the show can be exposed no matter how big the show is.
Exposure is no longer a problem - as a brand, as a designer, what we need to consider is the presentation of a special experience.
Altuzarra's fashion show will be held at Milk Studios in February 12th, when 300 guests will be invited - the number is only 2/3 last year.
In response, Colin explains, "why do we need to spend millions more on a bunch of outsider guests wearing blackberry and wearing second-hand clothes to see our fashion show?
The fashion show is supposed to be a senior gathering close to fashion. Of course, we also pursue the exposure rate, but we prefer a limited exposure.
On the other hand, the small show also "focuses on the clothing itself again".
New York designer Weiss Gordon (Wes Gordon) revealed that he plans to arrange 18 costumes for this season in a The Inn Boutique, where models will cruise around the piano in the wooden floor auditorium decorated with Phnom Penh.
A year ago, Mark Jakob's (Marc Jacobs) showcase drastically reduced the size of the original 1400 people to 500, and attracted the attention of many celebrities.
Bei Sao Vitoria also has its own fashion brand. The latest fashion show was held in a hall in New York: in a limited space, the model had to walk all over the catwalk on the narrow path of the guests.
New York designer Isaac Isaac Mizrahi also joined the streamlining. This year's New York fashion week, he changed the venue from the Lincoln Center to a non-profit cultural center.
"This intimacy is just right for me, and I can show my costume design in such a pleasant and interesting atmosphere."
Similarly, the designer Nicole Miller (Nicole Miller) also moved the show of 1500 people last year to his studio.
"Only the well chosen guests and limited industry participants present the venue with a unique sense of fashion."
Although the pursuit of "chic" may be an explanation, it is also interpreted as a tight budget for the brand.
But for other fashion shows that still maintain the big scenes, Nicole and Miller said, "that's because Forde's route is not suitable for everyone."
This idea coincides with the designer Deng Yaoli (Yeohlee Teng).
She has decided to put the fashion show in February 14th in the Garment District boutique in Manhattan, with only 50 guests.
"The big show is too late in 90s," Deng Yaoli said without any mention. "Emphasizing uniqueness and personalization is the next wave of fashion."
