International Fashion School Students Gather In Shanghai Fashion Show

The 2011 Shanghai International Costume Culture Festival will be closed in April 16th.

Since 2002, the fashion forum hosted by Donghua University and Donghua fashion week has been one of its highlights.

The theme of this year's clothing forum is "art design education reform and industrial development". 9 experts from the United States, Finland and South Korea will work together with people in clothing education and industry to discuss how to build an innovative education and teaching model integrating business management, engineering technology, art design and other disciplines.

The "Donghua Fashion Week" includes 6 dynamic shows and 5 static exhibitions. The exhibits include clothing, jewelry, bags and so on.

At the opening ceremony, over 100 sets of costume designs from 9 countries in China, the United States, France, Italy, England, Hollywood, Finnish, South Korea, Japan and other regions in Hongkong, China, appeared in turn. The theme of "environmental protection, bionics and anti tradition" showed the cutting-edge design concept of students from all over the world.

"European and American Wind" works generally advocate simplicity and personalization. "Asian style" design emphasizes ergonomics and prominent structural features. More design works incorporate the design elements of the Chairman Mao badge and other punk elements into Chinese, creating a multidimensional style of Chinese and Western mix and match.

Fashion shows and stage performances are also "mix and match": every country's student design works will have video shows and program performances that reflect the country's culture before the exhibition, such as the American Kang dance, the British tap dance, the modern ballet of France, the mask dance of Holland, the Japanese and service fan dance, the Chinese children's Beijing Opera and so on, so that people can feel the unique charm of the multinational culture beyond the fashion.

Organizers also invited the surrounding community residents to watch "show".

Aunt Li from the Hong storage area is a member of the community model team. "It's really an eye opener to see a high standard of fashion show without leaving the country," she said.
