    At present, China's aramid production capacity has reached 8300 tons, and the market demand is expected to exceed 7000 tons (of which more than half of the filtration materials).

    With the rapid growth of production and demand in China's new material field, China's aramid production capacity is expected to reach 15 thousand tons in 2015 and 20 thousand tons in 2020.

    Meta aramid is a key variety in China, which is independent research and development, its industrialization technology is relatively mature, its market application prospects are broad, and needs to be planned and developed.

    Experts pointed out that in addition to the need for further improvement of high temperature filter materials, especially in the field of special textile protective clothing, synthetic paper insulation materials and honeycomb structure materials, application research and development and market development should be increased.

    China's aramid fiber has developed rapidly in recent years. Compared with the high performance fibers such as para aramid (1414) and carbon fiber, its core technology of industrialization is relatively deep, but the overall level is still different from that of developed countries abroad, and the quality varieties, application fields, equipment level and engineering capability have yet to be improved.

    At present, especially in the field of application, we need to strengthen the development.

    Vigorously developing the aramid fiber and the upstream and downstream products chain is not only in line with the national industrial policy, but also has positive significance for promoting the development of China's strategic emerging industries, accelerating industrial upgrading and national defense construction.


    In a report submitted by the China chemical fiber industry association to the national development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of industry and information, the difference between China's aramid industry and the advanced level abroad is shown in the following aspects: first, the independent innovation capability and the research and development system are not perfect; due to insufficient investment, the research and development links of the industry are still very weak compared with those of foreign companies; two, the research and development ability of upstream and downstream integration in the application field is poor; three, there are still gaps in the key equipment, components, instrument and equipment, raw material and auxiliary quality level, and so on, and the four is brand, standard, quality, certification system and so on.
