Jiaxing Has Built The First Demonstration Zone Of Export Garment Inspection And Supervision In China.

Clothing is the traditional dominant industry in our city. However, influenced by many factors, the development of garment industry in our city has gradually entered the bottleneck stage.

In September 2008, with the advocacy and support of the provincial inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the city and the Jiaxing inspection and Quarantine Bureau signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of the export garment inspection and supervision area to promote the healthy development of local economy. The pilot project was established in Dushan port town, which officially opened the curtain of the first demonstration area of export garment inspection and supervision in China.

There are more than 250 garment enterprises in Dushan port town, accounting for nearly 30% of the garment enterprises in the city.

In 2009, there were 2 Dushan port towns in the first batch of 4 demonstration enterprises in our city. Among them, the Zhejiang companion Limited by Share Ltd also received the first national export exemption certificate in Jiaxing.

It is understood that in the export clothing inspection and supervision demonstration zone, the mode of "centralized examination of documents" has been fully implemented, and a new four in one regulatory mechanism has been formed, including "integrity declaration, classification and batch inspection, traceability test, and finished product sampling inspection".

In the demonstration area, the export clothing self inspection pass rate is over 98%, and the inspection and quarantine pass rate is over 99.9%, which greatly reduces the time wastage of the enterprises in the export inspection and quarantine, and at the same time, makes the customers more assured about the quality of the products.

Ren Jinhua, deputy director of the Jiaxing inspection and Quarantine Bureau, said: "clothing is a traditional industry in Pinghu. In the past, the technology based production mode, the technical content, the quality requirements and the profit margins were relatively low, and it was difficult to survive in the high cost era.

The establishment of demonstration zones and the benchmarking role of demonstration enterprises can drive the regional garment industry to change the traditional low value-added processing mode, and then add high value to technology, quality and brand, which is very necessary for enhancing competitiveness.

With the accession of Jiaxing Mongolian costumes Co., Ltd., Mo Dun Hua (Group) Co., Zhejiang Zheng Bang Fashion Co., Ltd., Jiaxing Chau Garment Co., Ltd., Zhejiang IIV Textile Co., Ltd., there are 9 enterprises listed as export garment inspection and supervision model enterprises.

In addition, Zhejiang Desheng Industrial Limited by Share Ltd also passed the first instance of the national export exemption inspection enterprise.

Li Shilin, general manager of Jiaxing Mongolian clothing Limited company, told the author: "although we still do OEM production, but after becoming a model enterprise, products can be directly exempted from export. With such quality assurance, we will get a higher price for orders later than before."
