"Big Wave Cup" Shenzhen Women'S Wear Design Competition Preliminary Assessment Ended

Recently, with the theme of "pforming East", jointly organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Science and technology industry, trade and Information Committee, Shenzhen Baoan District people's government and China Textile publishing house, the 2011 "big wave Cup" women's costume design competition held by the Chinese apparel magazine, the Shenzhen garment industry association and the Shenzhen wave clothing industry cluster foundation was held in Beijing, and 21 entries were distinguished from nearly 1000 entries.

From the start of March 28th to the deadline of May 10th, the competition organizing committee has received nearly 1000 design entries from domestic and overseas in 40 days.

The participants were from 26 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and the Special Administrative Region. The youngest participants were 16 years old and the oldest 51 years old.

A total of 109 units took part in the design competition, of which 86 were all kinds of textile and garment colleges nationwide, covering all the well-known clothing design institutes in China.

In addition, 21 professional design studios and garment companies participated in the competition, and 11 free designers participated actively.

Among them, Tsinghua University, Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, Donghua University, art school and other famous domestic clothing institutions and Wang Peina, Zeng Feng Fei and other famous designers and studio designers participated in the competition.

Some professional designers who have worked overseas have entered the competition, such as designers who worked in GUCCI and VERSACE.

In May 18th, the preliminary evaluation of the competition was completed in Beijing.

Xiao Wenling, associate professor of the Department of dyeing and clothing art, Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, and associate professor of the Department of fashion art and design, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, Guo Ruiping, vice president of ESMOD fashion school in Beijing, have selected the competition entries strictly and seriously.

In order to reflect the fairness, impartiality and openness of the competition, all works are adopted in the form of "blind assessment".

Finally, the 21 groups of finalists will stand out and compete for the finals in Shenzhen in July 9th.
