Jiaxing is a large garment export market, and the EU has been a major trading partner. In the first 4 months of this year, there were 7132 batches of clothing exported to Jiaxing from the European Union, accounting for 38.6% of the total export inspection batch.

In view of the detection of azo dyes in export garments, the inspection and quarantine department reminds export garment enterprises that they must study the relevant laws and regulations in the export market and strengthen their efforts.

The European Commission issued instructions in 2002 to prohibit the use of azo dyes to decompose 22 carcinogenic aromatic amines under reducing conditions. In 2003, it banned the use and sale of chromic azo dyes. In the same year, China issued the GB18401-2003 standard, and the detection limit for dyes that could be divided into 23 aromatic amines was 20ppm.

"At present, the global economic recovery is slow, the industry profits are generally low, and some factories choose raw materials which are inexpensive and quality can not be guaranteed, which can only gain some immediate benefits, but will lose more long-term interests."

Inspection and quarantine personnel said that the export enterprises need to strengthen the management of suppliers of raw materials, establish a sound supplier selection and evaluation system, and, if necessary, provide relevant quality certificates or test reports to suppliers.

At the same time, enterprises should pay attention to the standard requirements of importing countries, raise vigilance in the export links, organize production and sales according to the standards, and avoid the occurrence of unqualified situations.

In the daily management, the export enterprises should strengthen their self-discipline and self-discipline, conscientiously confirm the consistency of the first sample and the production of the big goods, and provide the authentic quality verification report to the export products.
