According to statistics, Shenzhen currently has more than 350 enterprises engaged in sewing equipment production and operation, and employs more than 4 million.

In 2010, the total output value of Shenzhen's sewing equipment industry was about 163 billion yuan, and the output value of new products exceeded 50 billion yuan, an increase of 99% over the same period last year; the industrial sales value was close to 158 billion yuan; and the foreign exchange earning earned about 14 billion 700 million dollars.

This is a recent reporter learned from the Shenzhen sewing equipment industry association.

Shi Tianxiang, President of the Shenzhen sewing equipment industry association, told reporters that the Shenzhen sewing industry has now owned a number of well-known brands and more complete industrial chains, as well as a series of industries from parts to machine, clothing design and matching, and the production enterprises engaged in sewing equipment and accessories to related auxiliary equipment have reached a number of thousands of people.

It is reported that Shenzhen sewing equipment industry association is preparing for the 2011 China Sewing Equipment Exhibition in Shanghai in September this year.

At present, the association has 49 leading enterprises to sign up for the world's largest sewing equipment industry event.
