Chinese And Foreign Shoe Enterprises Seek Common Development In Chengdu
2007 China Women's shoes capital international procurement festival opens in Chengdu on 12.
The procurement festival will help Italy, Spain and other famous shoe manufacturers to promote their footwear brands, promote exchanges between the two sides, eliminate misunderstandings in trade, and seek the harmonious development of Chinese and foreign footwear industry.
Xu Yong, honorary director of China Leather Association, said that China and the EU should not be simple competition in the development of footwear industry, but the relationship between competition and cooperation, seeking development through complementarity.
Franco Balin, vice chairman of Italy Footwear Manufacturers Association, said that China is not a competitor but a complementary partner.
Italy has always been enthusiastic about shoe making, attracting consumers through high quality and fashionable design.
Franco Bahrain said recently, Italy launched the "I love Italy shoes" project to provide other countries with Italian style and style of multi brand footwear stores.
The project has been opened in the Russian market for the two quarter, and has been well received.
He said he was confident that China could be cultivated as an important consumer market for footwear brands in Italy.
At present, the production scale of the global shoe industry has reached 16 billion pairs.
In 2006, China reached about 8000000000 pairs, accounting for 50% of the global shoe production scale.
There are as many as 1700 shoe making enterprises in Western China. In the core area of the shoe industry in Chengdu, nearly 80% square kilometers of Chengdu shoe industry has gathered 80% of the shoe making and supporting enterprises in Sichuan footwear industry, with 150 thousand employees and 160 million pairs of leather shoes annually, with an annual output value of 15 billion yuan.
