Regenerated Cotton Spinning Industry: Reborn In Green And Environmental Protection

    2011/7/30 11:20:00 52

Environmental Protection Of Recycled Cotton Textile Industry

Recently, "support the old and useless"

    textile

"Recycling" was first written in the "China textile industry 12th Five-Year plan" (2011-2015 years) and will be announced soon, making "recycled textiles" a new topic in the recycling and recycling industry.

According to the plan, in the next 5 years, China will initially set up a textile recycling fiber recycling system.

    By 2015, the whole country

    fibre

The total volume of processing is expected to reach 51 million 500 thousand tons, of which about 15% is

    Regenerated fiber

Recycling -- the inevitable trend of textile industry

At present, the global textile industry has encountered the problem of tight supply of raw materials and energy.

The lack of fiber, fresh water, oil and electricity has a direct impact on the production of enterprises, and the supply situation of fiber is particularly severe.

After 2005, the growth rate of cotton fiber output is very small, but the demand of the market has been increasing, which leads to a huge gap between supply and demand.

If cotton consumption per person in the world reaches the level of consumption of cotton fiber per person in the United States, we will need 470 million bales of cotton per year.

Such a tight supply of raw materials requires us to cherish the existing resources and take the road of sustainable development.

Moreover, according to the industry, clothing manufacturing is a "polluter", not only will waste some textiles, but also from raw materials to clothing are harmful substances in the environment.

The annual output of garments in China is absolutely astronomical. If textile can be recycled, it is not only a great good for the country and the people, but also one of the directions for the future development of the world textile industry.

The topic of regenerated textiles, which has been neglected and neglected, is very thought-provoking.

From the beginning of material recovery, the earliest form of regenerated textiles is the recovery of cotton and recycling of polyester fibers, and technological advances bring about various regenerated cellulose fibers.

Low carbon economy requires "carbon from the cradle to grave", which constrains the consumption of resources and energy in production and circulation. Regenerated textiles realize the true recycling of "cradle to cradle", which is the ultimate return of low carbon.

Textile regeneration -- practical application in developed countries

    How to regenerate textiles?

Usually, the textiles produced after recycling or reusing can be defined as regenerated textiles, such as the regenerated cellulose fibers, which are popular in the market, which are typical regenerated textiles.

For example, "cola bottle clothing" and "woven bag refurbished schoolbag" appeared in some shows are regenerated textiles.

A more straightforward explanation is: after wearing a piece of clothing, a garment is returned to the factory and pformed into another garment through a series of processes.

In some developed countries, this has already been done well.

Textile recycling and recycling in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Italy and other developed countries is very common.

The US Congress and the European Parliament have decreed that the price of textile products can be increased by 10% compared with ordinary textile products with the logo of "regeneration".

At the beginning, people did not buy it, but after 22 years of publicity and promotion, in order to protect the environment and save the earth, consumers now gradually recognized recycled textiles. Many people saw clothes with "recycled" labels willing to pay for them.

The EU also revised the Waste Framework Directive program in 2008, aiming to enable EU public and enterprises to promote more environmentally friendly regeneration of all kinds of resources.

At present, the use of recycled materials is favored by the textile and garment industry in Europe. Many world-renowned brands and international buyers have embarked on developing or purchasing large quantities of recycled textiles, such as Jimtex Yarns, manufacturer of environmentally-friendly recycled fiber and yarn in the United States, Japan's thie fiber company, British clothing retailer, Marsha general store and American department store retailer WAL-MART.

Recycled textiles -- China's active exploration

China is also calling for the use of recycled textiles for nearly 10 years, but there is still a big gap between its popularity and those in Europe and the United States.

About 10 years ago, China began calling for the recovery and reuse of textiles, but it failed to carry it out, because the cost was too high. First of all, the old clothes should be collected and sterilized, cleaned and decomposed before being processed into textiles.

This process increases the cost of recycling and reusing textiles more than the production of new products. It is necessary to sell the company at a higher price to survive and profit.

However, the performance of recycled fibers is definitely lower than that of the first use.

To spend more money on things with poor performance, the "cost performance ratio" is not high.

At present, only the PLA's military uniform is recycled in large scale in China.

As a major exporter of textiles, China's textile production and export enterprises are stepping up R & D and production of recycled textiles in order to promote the export of textile products and conform to the trend of international green trade.

However, due to technical and cost reasons, some renewable resources have caused a lot of energy consumption and environmental pollution in the production process, making recycled textiles just wear "green" cloak, and have not fully realized the real sense of environmental protection.

For example, a large number of discoloring wastewater (including machine chlorine) have been produced in the textile processing process in some areas, and incineration of non fading and invalid waste cloth corner materials has resulted in more waste of water resources and greater environmental damage.

Although it will cost a lot to recover and regenerate textiles, it will still be the way forward.

Relying solely on the strength of the enterprise or industry is difficult to carry, and more needs the society to create a truly green textile consumption environment.

The most important thing is to pform and upgrade the regenerated cotton textile industry and pform it from extensive management to intensive management.

We should speed up the related research and technical tackling of regenerated textiles, and carry out industrial support through the policy to regenerate textile enterprises, so that "recycled garments" can be produced and really worn on the body.

In addition to technological research and industrial support, how to make ordinary consumers accept the "new things" from the inside of "recycled fabric" and "recycled clothing" is also a "hole" that needs to be crossed.

Recently, Shanghai has begun to present two kinds of dry and wet garbage cans to some pilot families. Dry garbage cans can be placed in waste textiles and plastic bottles for recycling purposes.

But if these rubbish "change" into "recycled clothing", whether it can be accepted by consumers is still to be tested.

"Recycled clothing" is not "black heart cotton", not "junk clothing". It should enhance consumer awareness through publicity and open up the consumer market of recycled textiles.

At the same time, we should promote policies, laws, standards, and market guidance to ensure that "recycled clothing" is "safety clothing" and "rest assured clothing" to relieve consumers' concerns.

    Cotton Rebound And Back Fall

In the past two days, we suggested that investors should remain empty in the weak rebound. After all, the fundamentals of cotton have not changed materially, and technically, it shows that their rebound dynamics are weak, and it is difficult to turn into an effective reversal.
