The project of "Application Research of nanotechnology in finishing of natural textiles" has been checked and approved recently.

Professor Liu Jinqiang, the project leader, said that this technology is to add an inorganic nano finishing agent in the dyeing and finishing process of cotton and linen, and absorb ultraviolet light through nanoparticles, thereby increasing the UV resistance of natural fibers.

At the same time, under the illumination, nanoparticles can activate the water and oxygen in the air and react with bacteria, thus killing the bacteria on the fabric.

At present, the fabric has been produced for 200 thousand meters and has been put into the market.

Most people think that when they wear light colored clothes in summer, the body will feel cooler, while wearing dark clothes will feel muggy.

It is cool to wear light colored clothes because light coloured clothes are more reflective than dark ones, but the reflection is mainly infrared. Ultraviolet light has a stronger penetrating power to light colored clothes, and brings greater harm to the human body.
