Looking for creativity from thousands of posters

In January this year, Zhang Lichuan, a teacher of the Shenzhen University of art and design, received a special task to design a unique costume for every guide to guide the athletes to enter the Universiade.

We need to break through the tradition, not the traditional style of cheongsam, and seek inspiration from the poster of more than 10000 "blessing Shenzhen Universiade" collected by university students from all over the world.

Time is tight and the task is heavy. Zhang Lichuan led students such as Wen Xiaoang, Huang Xiaoxia, Huang Qiurong, Sun Xuehong and so on to start a half year hard design.

Zhang told reporters that all the creative inspiration must come from tens of thousands of posters, how to absorb the elements, and use the language of clothes to reflect, is the creation again and again.

Researching posters became their original main work.

Beginning in March, their team and the opening ceremony director team collided once a week, after a number of brainstorming and late night changes, finally determined the costumes to reflect the fashionable youth vigor of the short paragraph.

The design of the clothing is strong in three-dimensional sense, rich in appearance and colorful.

Materials and environmental protection are all recyclable.

Zhang Lichuan said that all design must reflect the concept of environmental protection.

Zhang Lichuan told reporters that in the selection of fabrics and accessories, they insisted on the environmental protection of cotton and hemp. The fabric became strong after special treatment, and it was exaggerated and strong in design.

These natural fibers and many excipients are recyclable.

She disclosed that in order to reflect environmental protection, their design originally used paper to make garments, but the paper was easy to rot, and eventually changed to natural fabrics, and such subversion and modification did not know how many times in the whole design.

Five continents vary in color.

The whole design is named Yue Yue, and it is divided into 5 series by five continents.

The theme of the red series is "sunshine", which is the main source of inspiration in Asia; the theme of the blue series is "water", the main inspiration for Europe; the theme of the green series is "land", the main inspiration of the Americas; the theme of the yellow series is "Yue movement", the main inspiration of Africa, and a set of colorless series, the theme of "air", the main inspiration of this series in Oceania, the selection of the coloured parts of the posters all over the world as the main patterns of the clothing, or the more implicit in the use of the patterns, forming this series of basic colors.

In June 18th of this year, all the designs were finally finalized.
