2011 Shanghai Needle Fair Must Rely On Everyone To Make The Exhibition Bigger.
"China International Knitting fair is not only a matter of the textile branch of the China Council for the promotion of trade, nor is it the Chinese Knitting Industry Association. It is a matter of the whole industry. We will expand the exhibition and expand the influence of the knitting industry in China. In 2020, if we want to realize the dream of textile power, we must have a number of brand exhibitions covering the industrial chain, which can be commensurate with the status of textile power. A few days ago, Chen Weikang, vice president of the Textile Association of the Council, told reporters about his concept of the knitting exhibition and the concept of the exhibition next year.
In the series of exhibitions of the Textile Association of the China Council for promoting trade, the start of the knitting exhibition was not too late. In 2004, it was born, with some pause in the middle and a new look in 2007. "This year is the fifth session, compared with the exhibition area of only half a pavilion in 2007, and the proportion of exhibitors in 86 enterprises, its scale has doubled, and the number of exhibitors has reached nearly 200." Chen Weikang said that in fact, there was a plan to expand the pavilion this year. But due to the limited space, it had to be confined to one Pavilion. "Next year, it will expand to two pavilions."
Chen Weikang thinks that the plan for expanding the library is based on some foundation. First, after 4 years of cultivation, the knitting exhibition has a certain reputation and influence in the industry, and the substantial increase in the number of enterprises is a basis. Secondly, after two years of running in, the Trade Promotion Association and the knitting industry association have become more and more aware of the exhibition and the idea of exhibition. In the future, they can play their respective roles better. Thirdly, the huge database accumulated by the TAC textile branch over the past few years is a valuable resource for the exhibition. The staff invited to the audience can easily send tens of thousands of invitations, and they all have professional pertinence.
Despite the remarkable achievements in recent years, in Chen Weikang's view, the scale of the current exhibition is still small, which is not compatible with the rapid development of the knitting industry. "The proportion of knitting in the whole industry is huge, and the number of knitted fabrics has exceeded that of the finished products on the final export products. Knitted fabrics have been covered in three major applications of textile, clothing, home textiles and industrial use. From the scale of the industry, the knitting exhibition should be compared to the CHIC (China International Clothing Fair), but now the two are far away, but we have the ambition. " Chen Weikang said.
Because of its multiple meanings, the knitting exhibition has received the care from industry leaders. Chen Weikang introduced: "the knitting exhibition is located in the W5 Hall of Pudong New International Expo Center, Shanghai. The location is remote, and the leaders of the China Textile Industry Association have to go to the exhibition every time to see and understand the situation from the first to the present."
According to the instructions of Du Yuzhou, President of the China Textile Industry Association, it is necessary to become an important trading platform for developing the domestic and overseas markets, linking up the links between the upstream and downstream industrial chains and the supply chain at home and abroad, and displaying the information exchange window of technological innovation and brand building. This is undoubtedly the direction of the development of the knitting industry, but to be strong is the first step to be bigger. If there are only two or three underwear brands at the exhibition, there may not be many spectators in the underwear industry. But if there are two hundred or three hundred underwear brands to participate in the exhibition, are we afraid that the information and resources of the industry will not be collected? Chen Weikang said.
After expansion
In terms of exhibits, he believed that the final products should be based on clothing, clothing and fabrics. "For pure spinning and weaving, fabric is also the final product." Chen Weikang said, the final product can best reflect the fashion, and can also directly display the new technology. He has a deep memory of the seamless underwear exhibited at the exhibition, and the clothing's interpretation of this new process is obvious. In addition, there are many kinds of knitted products. Men's wear, women's wear and children's clothing are all involved. From inside to outside, from top to bottom, Chen Weikang thinks that the structure of exhibits should be reasonable, not the world of sportswear and underwear, and it should fully reflect the development of the knitting industry.
Although it is called "China International Knitting exposition", Chen Weikang seems that the knitting exhibition is relatively weak in the international arena. "At present, the exhibitors outside the Mainland mainly come from Taiwan, and there are a few brands of Italy, Japan and China Hongkong. Other countries and regions have hardly entered, and the audiences are mainly domestic." This is a breakthrough in the future. At present, the Pakistan Textile Association is seeking cooperation with some German exhibition companies, seeking to introduce more high-end brands in Europe and the United States, and attracting enterprises from more countries such as Japan, Southeast Asia and Southeast Asia. "The Chinese market is still very attractive for Indonesian t-shirts and other enterprises." Chen Weikang said.
Industrial cluster is also one of the future force points. According to Chen Weikang, there are more than 30 industrial clusters in the knitting industry. Last year, there were 4 exhibitors and 8 this year. The exhibition should attract more industrial clusters to participate. It turns out that many industrial clusters face foreign trade or domestic low-end market, lack of brand and design, product quality is not high, win the price, the original order to make it satisfied with the status quo, has not yet started the concept of exhibitors. Chen Weikang took his personal experience as an example: "in the second years after the international financial crisis, in early 2010, when we went to Jiangxi's industrial cluster research, we saw that a newly built factory from a family workshop has not yet been completed. The elevator has not been installed yet, and the windows are not yet complete, so the equipment has been shipped, and the big circle machine has been put into production." There is no such thing as design, let alone the development of sales channels, and the boss has not used the exhibition platform to expand the market concept. Because of the low threshold, such enterprises exist in large numbers in some places. However, with the expansion of scale and the constant promotion of industry and local government, Chen Weikang believes that these enterprises will have the demand for exhibitors in the future.
Another part of the expansion is large enterprises. In fact, famous enterprises and backbone enterprises have many exhibitors every year, but Chen Weikang believes that they can not reflect and represent the overall strength of the industry. The expansion space is still large, and they need to continue to encourage them to participate in the exhibition. "I think that enterprises should have such a concept, that is, the knitting exhibition is not the matter of the textile association and the knitting industry association of the Trade Promotion Council. It is everybody's business that we can make the exhibition bigger so as to promote the better development of the industry." Chen Weikang said earnestly.
Finally, it is the invitation of professional buyers. Chen Weikang has recognized the achievements in this respect. But in line with the principle of keeping pace with the times, we will push forward the linkage between online and offline businesses in the future. So far, the exhibition organizers have sent out tens of thousands of invitations, wholesalers, agents, shopping malls, supermarkets, brand buyers and professional markets all come together. Last year, the exhibition invited the brand buyers to join the exhibitors one by one, and achieved the desired results. This year, the scope of the buyers' invitation was extended. At that time, there will be 10 brands and enterprises face to face, covering clothing, clothing, fashion, sports and leisure.
This year, there is a new attempt to cooperate with Tencent QQ mall and pat net to provide offline suppliers. "After the introduction of online procurement, it has opened a channel for the industrial cluster focusing on quantity, and is also suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises, so that their cheap and good products have more opportunities to contact with consumers." Wang Xuhua, director of the five exhibition of the Textile Association of CCPIT, added. In the future, the knitting exhibition will be further subdivided at the invitation of buyers to meet the needs of different levels of enterprises.
"The main function of CCPIT is to help enterprises to develop domestic and foreign markets, and we will never stop in the innovation of exhibitions." Chen Weikang treats the knitted show as a young man who builds up a vision for the future.
