A good boss should be like a shield to cover up the wind and rain for his men.

A few years ago, when he was an ordinary researcher at 3M, his research and development work was often interrupted by some good but officious executives who always put forward a lot of questions and suggestions, but the result was always making a mess of innovation.

Sometimes you have to face more senior leaders who are blind and command. Their decisions may affect the performance or welfare of your people. You have to make a decision - obey or resist.
