    In 2012, China International Clothing and Accessories Fair (CHIC) will enter the double decade. This is a big day for all the organizers and collaborators.


    CHIC organizing committee to welcome the arrival of the 20 year old birthday that day, as early as the summer of 2011, a year ago, the warm atmosphere permeated, every member of the organizing committee has started busy desk preparation, the prelude of various plans has been opened, and the 20th anniversary countdown is officially launched.


    Since its establishment in 1994, the clothing times has grown with CHIC. CHIC A group of witnesses and witnesses in the history of development. A generation of editors and reporters gave countless vivid reports to CHIC every year. At the same time, we also made many friends and partners on this international professional platform, and set up profound feelings with this professional exhibition.        Romantic and popular Foundation


    Many qualified insiders say: without Tan An, there will not be three great designers of international fashion design on the CHIC just born. Without their presence, the process of CHIC primitive accumulation will slow down and not know how many years; if CHIC really started hard, the era of Chinese clothing brand may not be the same now.

    But at the time when Chinese fashion was at a loss, it would not be enough to have such a romantic life. As a result, CHIC in that era had to undertake another task to bring the various factors of fashion to the masses at the fastest speed.


    "I really want to thank President Duo (Du Yuzhou, chairman of the China Textile Industry Association). When he was not able to take part in the performance of the Great Hall of the people, I knew he was in the mood to take a big fashion show. That era allowed the model to go on the best stage. Wearing the most gorgeous clothes in the Great Hall of the people is not easy to accept in the society." Recalls Wang Chaoge, the director general of the 7 CHIC closing party.


    Many of the outsiders learned and began to worship fashion through those parties. Later, Wang Chaoge was asked: why only 7 games? Is there any possibility of continuing in the future?

       Yellowing business names and fresh brand


    The pace of China's fashion industrialization is slow, which has been vividly reflected in the 20 years since the CHIC. In particular, every step from "made in China" to "brand age" has left a clear footprint in the CHIC track of the past 20 years.


    From the CHIC organizing committee, we got a list of enterprises attending the exhibition from 1993 to 1997, and the editorial department was in hot debate again, because in that list, there were some brands that were not marked in the middle of a row of brand names, and the organizers told us that there were no signs, indicating that the company was no longer there.


    There are many familiar names, and even a few small wardrobe wardrobe can turn out the bottom of the box, that is the fashion of their parents.


    Of course, there are still many surprises. For example, we found that Ordifen was the first underwear brand to take part in CHIC. In 1995, it was interesting that the brand name was "Ordifen clothing company". Only one name, it saw the aesthetic consciousness of the whole society.     The name "Beijing garment factory" appeared on the list in 1997. More than 10 years later, the once obscure "underwear" has entered the mainstream of fashion and has a proud underwear culture and market achievements. The name "love" has also become a leading brand of high-end underwear known to women and women.


    Once, we have always thought that the early CHIC is just a place and platform for brand enterprises to choose business as the main purpose. For the promotion and dissemination of designers, there is not much difference between CHIC and designers, except for the early "brothers cup costume design competition" and "top ten fashion designers in China". The designer's brand has really entered CHIC to do dynamic and static display.


    Obviously, we think wrong. From the 1993 Guangdong Ming Rui representative designer brand exhibition, the designer brand of CHIC stationed in the 20 years has never ceased, including Deng Hao, Liang Zi, A You and exceptions, which are now in the brink of prosperity. They have taken the first step of growth from CHIC in different times.


    In that list, there was no sign in front of the name of "Shenzhen Liangzi Fashion Design Co., Ltd.". The little editor who had just entered the office was filled with questioning marks. Immediately, an old colleague explained that the brand created by Liang Zi has long been renamed "Providence", which is one of the representative brands of Chinese fashionable dress with the core of the silk fabric.

    Lai Shiping (Laspina), a pure Italian who came to CHIC with several Italy brands in 1993, has become more and more Chinese from name to person. As one of the reporters said, "Lai Shiping is an absolute story with the development of internationalization on CHIC, and he takes great credit."


    Starting from the three major international fashion masters in 1993, Lai Shiping went to Beijing on behalf of the Italy Foreign Trade Commission to recommend the Italy brand pavilion to Beijing every year. The international association such as the French Fashion Association, the Japan trade promotion organization, the Korean Fiber Industry Federation and other international organizations marched on to CHIC2011. ENK, the most famous clothing exhibition agency in the United States, not only organized a group to participate in the exhibition, but also closely discussed the Sino US brand and market cooperation with Chinese fashion people.


    We can clearly see a gradually expanding track from the internationalization road of CHIC20: Pan Europeanization - Eurasia walking on two legs - the thinking and plan of global development.


    This internationalization road has its inevitability, not only the development track of Chinese fashion begins with the "European worshipers", but at that time, the Europeans are also eager for the development of foreign markets because of their narrow territory. The Chinese market is the huge "hunting thing" that they have been coveted for a long time. As a result, the strong European fashion and the weak Chinese fashion have taken the lead in hand in hand and interact with each other in seemingly impossible circumstances.


    A few years later, China's fashion brands flourished, and Chinese fashion also had certain operational capabilities and thinking, communicating with their neighbors. Mutual care and cooperation between neighbors became the main trend of CHIC at that time.     This issue is a collection of 20 fashion people who know each other at different stages of CHIC.     At the same time, the 20 years of CHIC will be divided into stages. This is not difficult. Perhaps, in different minds of different experiences, there are different division methods. Our division is based on the road that CHIC relies on, and it is divided into four stages based on the appearance of CHIC.


    When the sun shines on the baby (1993-1997 years), this stage is due to the arrival of the masters of international fashion design and the influence of the 7 top fashion parties. CHIC is filled with jade and full of childish curiosity and passion.


    In the new era of "big" (1998-2002 years), we call this stage "the great era". In 1998, CHIC moved to the China International Exhibition Center (the old exhibition hall), and the area increased. The excitement brought by the new century was reflected in the development of industry. Brand people seemed to glare at the brand of their eyes and build up their appetites. Because the brand's appetite was constantly expanding, they directly led to the construction of all industrial clusters. This "big and big" is also reflected in CHIC, which forms a representation. The purpose of each exhibition group, every brand, and everyone is to not seek the biggest, but ask for greater.


    Under the precipitating change (2003-2007 years), the development of the industry allows for a time of confusion.     Ambition and wisdom (2008 - the future) do not need to mention that we are experienced in this era and are part of this era. Therefore, we are also witnesses to the future development of CHIC in this era.


    The 20 CHIC witnesses interviewed are classified according to different historical stages. In fact, many people do not just dance with CHIC in that period, but he must be one of the most experienced and most experienced characters in a certain era.


    Of course, the 20 people we choose are not chosen solely according to their absolute contributions and influence. In fact, every fashion person who participates in CHIC has a great contribution to and influence on CHIC. These 20 people are just part of the fashion people who contributed countless to the development of CHIC. They have some representativeness. In the future, there may be more representatives, and will become the protagonists of our story.


    There will be regrets about the harvest. There must be some regrets in the process of collecting and writing this report. For example, we did not go well in choosing interviews for the representatives of Hangzhou women's clothing. It seems that they did not want to mention that history. They even want to delete this name from people's minds.


    This is indeed a pity for us, because we know that there are many fashionable people who are sentimental about the name of Hangzhou women's clothing. The graceful and elegant style and the tranquil beauty of small bridges and water can not be forgotten by many fashionable people. Moreover, if there is really no "Hangzhou faction" that dominated the market at that time, I wonder what the Hangzhou women's clothing brand will be like today.


    There are also some choices of characters. We first look at brands. Many brands do create quite vivid stories at a certain historical stage. Unfortunately, not all brand builders are willing to recall the past. Therefore, for some well-known brand entrepreneurs, they have tactfully transferred the right of discourse to the executives who are also involved.
