There are two new generation designers from China appearing in the fashion week of New York, standing on the same stage with familiar fashion brands and famous designers, and interpreting the creative talents of Chinese designers in the world in their own way.
Surprisingly, the two designers were not born in the art class. One of them was law and the other was business accountant.
In response, Rachel Lee, President of University of the Arts in San Francisco, said: "the two Chinese designers, from industries that are not related to art and design, are obsessed with dreams and careers, and finally succeed in New York fashion week, which is very inspiring for people in New York.
I remember many years ago when I came to China, art and design were still very small, but now they affect all aspects of modern life, and China's demand for art and design talents is also growing. For example, fashion, animation, graphic, webpage and new media design talents have been popular in recent years.
University of the Arts in San Francisco is committed to providing young people with all kinds of opportunities and resources to encourage them to pursue their dreams, choose the industries they love, and influence the world around them with art and design.
Xie Qian is from Chongqing, China, and is currently studying for master of fashion design in University of the Arts, San Francisco.
The design of this exhibition in San Francisco is an integral part of the fashion trade series of the Italy Trade Association of University of the Arts in San Francisco. Her design incorporates the inspiration of geometric figures. The design of the split level is in sharp contrast to the fabric full of texture, with a touch of avant-garde color.
Xie Qian graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law with a Bachelor of laws. A few years ago, when she traveled to San Francisco, she was oblivious to the fact that the city hall of University of the Arts in San Francisco was spread all over the city centre and the art students who walked around every corner of the city.
This also lets Xie Qian regain his yearning and longing for fashion design. After returning home, she made up her mind to apply for the Fashion College of University of the Arts in San Francisco.
Xie Qian likened herself to a blank sheet of paper. All the basic art training started from scratch. Although she was worried that she could not keep up with it, she succeeded in applying for a master's degree in fashion design in less than a year, with the encouragement and recommendation of her tutor.
Xie Qian's design is bold and forward, but unexpectedly, even though he has not yet graduated, his works have been selected by the director of the Department to be exhibited at the New York fashion week, known as "time wearing". This also makes her more clear and confident about her future main attacking style and blueprint.
From Shandong, China, Liu Jie, the master of fashion design of University of the Arts in San Francisco, is another Chinese designer who stands on the stage of New York fashion week.
Her evening dress design was also selected in the fashion exhibition of the Italy Trade Association of University of the Arts, San Francisco. The design of the evening dress was inspired by Liu Jie's favorite oil painting, with smooth lines and soft material interwoven, with concise and detailed details.
Similarly, Liu Jie, who has no artistic foundation, has obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting and business management from York University in San Francisco before coming to the Fashion Institute of University of the Arts in Beijing.
For Liu Jie, accounting is just a livelihood skill. Although she can do well, she chooses to listen to her voice and do what she likes.
Because Liu Jie is passionate about design, even if he spends more than ten hours in studio creation every day, he doesn't feel hardworking at all.
Under the guidance of her tutor, she made various attempts to create and eventually formed a mature and unique design style.
Although the two designers came from China, they did not limit their designs to Chinese elements too much. In the words of Liu Jie, "a mentor once told me that creativity is very important. Fashion design is not the reappearance of an element, but the extension and re creation of this element in the present.
The experience of University of the Arts in San Francisco has given me a broader and more international view of design.
Speaking of Chinese designers, Simon Ungless, Dean of the Fashion Institute of University of the Arts in San Francisco, said he was delighted to have the opportunity to provide guidance and support for these talented designers, helping them form their own design style and expand in the future.
Mr. Simon Ungless graduated from the central Saint Martin Institute of art and design. He was a classmate of the Alexander McQueen Saint Martin era and a friend of his lifetime.
Mr. Ungless has extensive experience in fashion industry in Europe, North America and Asia. He has been employed in Givenchy, Paul Smith, Calvin Klein and Versace group, and has been invited to be the creative director of fashion brand Member Holiday, Korea.

As the International Herald Tribune fashion editor Suzy Menkes wrote in an article written by New York Times, "the design of New York fashion week has always been known for its strong wearability, but the design from the Fashion Institute of San Francisco on the west coast is worth playing.
Looking at these new generation designers from different cultures, backgrounds and even different countries, I can't help wondering why their designs are more creative and creative than those of the mature New York fashion brands. "{page_break}
