China Leather Association Holds The 2007 "World Leather Industry Cooperation And Development Forum"

The first 2007 "world leather industry cooperation and Development Forum", sponsored and sponsored by China Leather Association, was held in Shanghai.

The forum advocates "One world One leather". Its purpose is to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the world leather industry, promote brand internationalization, drive market diversification, and share the opportunities and prosperity brought by the rapid development of leather industry in the world.

The forum, from different perspectives and different angles, analyzes in depth and explores in depth the mutual understanding and win-win cooperation between China and the outer leather industry.

The first stage: "energy conservation and emission reduction, sustainable development". At present, energy conservation and emission reduction has become one of the factors that affect the sustainable development of China's economy.

In China's "11th Five-Year plan" outline, it is clearly pointed out that during the period of 11th Five-Year, the energy consumption per unit of GDP decreased by 20%, and the total emissions of major pollutants decreased by 10%.

These are two binding indicators.

In China's leather industry "11th Five-Year" development plan has also made the same request.

Around the theme of this forum, Mr. Wang Xiaoguang, director of the national development and Reform Commission's Economic Research Institute, delivered a speech entitled "China's economic growth trend and policy orientation". Mr. Zhang Zhenyu, deputy director general of the State Environmental Protection Administration, issued a speech entitled "China's pollution abatement situation and new requirements for China's leather industry". Mr. Wang Hai, President of the famous domestic footwear brand Qingdao Binxing group, delivered a speech entitled "sustainable development of Chinese culture and enterprises".

Mr. Xu Yong, vice chairman of China Light Industry Federation and honorary president of China Leather Association, delivered a speech entitled "thinking about changing the development mode of leather industry".

He summed up the advantages and characteristics of China's leather industry, and made a detailed analysis from several aspects, such as the concept of innovative development, independent brand building, implementation of going global strategy, environmental protection, energy saving and emission reduction, and adapting to industrial gradient pfer, and put forward feasible suggestions.

The second competition: "communication and cooperation, win win development". Ms. Zhang Shuhua, chairman of the China Leather Association, delivered a speech. On behalf of the sponsor, the China Leather Association expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the guests at home and abroad, and made a keynote speech on the current situation and trend of China's leather industry. It introduced the current development situation, problems and trends of China's leather industry, and stressed that the first twenty years of this century will still be a good opportunity for the development of China's leather industry.

At the same time, China Leather Association launched and held the first 2007 "world leather industry cooperation and Development Forum", which is not only the needs of China's leather industry's sustainable development, but also the needs of sustainable development of leather industry in the world, and will become an important platform for dialogue, exchange and cooperation between the world leather industry under the situation of global economic integration.

Mr. Alan Drage of the British SATRA Technology Research Center made a speech on the development of the world footwear industry and how to expand the European market. Mr. Mike Parsons of the International Leather Industry Commission (ICT) gave a speech on the outline of the world leather industry and the latest technical regulations. Mr. Sam Kiruthu, chairman of the leather industry association of South Africa and the chairman of the South African Leather Industry Association (ESALIA), made a speech on the situation and investment environment of the African leather industry. Through the forum, guests at home and abroad generally agreed that, from the aspects of the output of major leather products, the integrity of the industrial chain, the strong processing capacity, skilled skilled workers and the perfect supporting facilities, China has become a great leather producing country, and has made important contributions to the development of leather industry in the world. However, there are also structural contradictions in the development process of China's leather industry, with insufficient innovation capability and lack of independent brands, especially the OEM processing industry.
