Beijing To Build International Exhibition City

It will be listed as one of the nine major areas of cultural and creative industries in Beijing's "11th Five-Year" period. At the same time, it launched the first exhibition statistics system in the whole country.

In order to cope with the impact of the global financial crisis on the exhibition industry and lighten the burden on enterprises, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Inland Revenue has made clear that the exhibition and conference group business is an agency service. It can deduct the business income from the actual fee paid, the exhibition booth building fee, the traveling expenses of exhibitors, the advertising expenses and the printing expenses of the printed products, and so on, and calculate the amount of business tax.

Dongcheng District, Chaoyang District, Changping District, Shunyi District and other districts and counties also formulated policies for exhibition industry in this area.

In order to strengthen the public service of the exhibition industry, the Beijing City Council for promoting trade has initiated the joint conference system of the government departments of the municipal development and Reform Commission, the Commerce Commission, the Tourism Commission and the Statistics Bureau with Beijing's main exhibition venues, exhibition organizers and major exhibition service enterprises. At present, from the height of building the world city, Beijing puts forward that Beijing should be the goal of the Asia Convention and Exhibition capital.

After the "12th Five-Year" struggle, Beijing was built as one of the five Asian cities of the Asia Convention and exhibition, the leading tourist destination of Asia, and the leader of China's Convention and exhibition industry. It strives to realize the development of the exhibition industry at a speed higher than the growth rate of GDP in the whole city. In 2015, the exhibition industry in the city reached a target of more than 30 billion yuan.
