Fast growth of textile exports
Before 2008, Urumqi's foreign trade exports were mainly mechanical and electrical products. Since the financial crisis, foreign trade exports have been greatly impacted. In response to the financial crisis, China expanded the variety of export commodities and raised the tax rebate rate of export commodities for many times, effectively alleviating the difficulties of domestic enterprises caused by the appreciation of RMB, the slowdown of foreign demand and the increase of costs, and promoting the growth of foreign trade exports from negative to positive.

Statistics show that from January to July 2011, Urumqi's textile export trade volume grew rapidly, reaching 136.7 million dollars, an increase of 55.35 million dollars over the same period of the previous year, or 68%. Among them, the trade volume with the five Central Asian countries accounted for 91% of the total.
Mainland businesses seize business opportunities

Compared with the current situation of booming export of domestic textile enterprises, the export situation of Tianshan Wool Textile Co., Ltd. has been in a downward trend since the 2008 financial crisis.
"Now the number of orders received for export has dropped sharply." The relevant person in charge of the company said frankly that the impact of the financial crisis continues in Europe, the United States and other countries, and the company's products are mainly medium and high-end products. In addition to the current international fashion trend changes, the sales of Tianmao textiles in foreign countries have been significantly worse than before.
