    Qingdao Shoe Company Dismissed Tuberculosis Women Workers

    Yesterday morning, Ms. Liu, 44 years old, arrived at Qingdao Shiyuan Shoes Co., Ltd. on the morning shift as usual. The medical staff of the factory clinic called her and said she was "retired".

    Ms. Liu suspects that her tuberculosis is related to her working environment.

    Reporters learned from the labor and Social Security Department of Qingdao, according to the "labor law", in the prescribed period of medical treatment, the unit can not terminate the labor contract.

    Ms. Liu needs to leave sick leave in the hospital. According to her working hours, she can enjoy a medical period of at least 3 months.

    During the medical treatment period, the unit should pay her sick leave of 70% of the minimum wage.

    When the medical treatment expires, the employer can rescind the labor contract according to the law, and shall make economic compensation in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state. The work period shall be compensated for one month's wages every full year.

    If the unit forcibly dismissal, Liu can bring labor arbitration to the local labor arbitration department within 60 days from the date of the dispute, and may also bring a lawsuit to the court.
