Global Luxury Goods Sales Will Increase By 10% This Year.
According to the latest global issue released by Bain&Company extravagant Product Market Research Report shows that in 2011, global luxury goods sales will increase by 10% to 191 billion euros. Consumers continue to increase their consumption in luxury clothing, accessories, bags, shoes, jewellery, watches, perfumes and cosmetics, and the distribution channels of luxury brands are beginning to change. Sale forehead increase 14%, far more than the sales volume of wholesale and shopping malls.
According to the Bain report, sales in the European market are expected to grow by 10% in 2011 and 12% in the US market, while Japan is still the second largest luxury market in the world. Developing countries are more prominent, with China's growth rate of 35%, Brazil's 20% and Middle East 12%, while Chinese consumers' luxury consumption accounts for 20% of the world's total.
Judging from the total category, the growth rate of clothing in 2011 was 8%, the growth rate of perfume and cosmetics was 3%, accessories increased by 13%, jewelry and watches grew by 18%.
