Uniqlo&Nbsp; Seoul Flagship Store Opened Its Sales Record.

Japan's casual wear retail giant Uniqlo opened its biggest flagship store in Seoul, South Korea in November 11th, selling 2 billion won (US $1 million 700 thousand) on its opening day.

Industry figures told the Korea Herald that the figure hit the highest spot in Korean fashion sales.

The last record was a record of 460 million won won by French luxury brand Chanel last year when it opened a new store in southern Seoul.

The company said that the first 3 days of its opening offer had a great effect on attracting customers.

Uniqlo spokesman Koh Eun-young said, "while playing half off, some flagship stores selling some exclusive items, such as jeans, priced at only 14900 won ($12.35), attracting a large number of customers."

He added that "Japan's headquarters responded positively to South Korea's response."

According to the company statistics, the total sales of the first 3 days reached 3 billion 600 million won, and about 120 thousand customers visited the shops in Ming Dong, Seoul.

The store, 3966 square meters, is the sixth flagship store in the world. It is the second largest store after the 4268 square meter shop opened in New York in October.

Now in Korea, Uniqlo has opened 65 stores, and plans to open more than 30 stores every year.

In Korea, Uniqlo sold 360 billion won, earning 25 billion won.

By 2020, the company plans to sell 3 trillion won in South Korea, with a profit of 600 billion won.
