    This year, the China Home Textile Association has made important achievements in four aspects.


    One is to carry out industrial exchanges and promote innovation and development of the industry; the two is to strengthen market guidance, help industry enterprises to expand domestic and foreign markets; the three is to promote the establishment of brand value system and enhance the soft power of the industry; four is to improve the basic work of the Association so as to protect the healthy development of the industry.


    In the first three quarters of this year, the production and sales of the industry were good and the overall benefit increased steadily. Under the guidance of the national macroeconomic regulation and control policy, the growth rate of industry investment slowed down. As the price of raw materials such as cotton in the three quarter was callback, the operation of enterprises improved and the export prices of products increased.

    However, the turbulence of social and economic situation in developed countries in Europe and America has increased the risk of global economic operation, and the market prospect is complicated and confusing.

    This requires domestic enterprises to speed up the upgrading of products and technologies, innovate channels, strengthen brand building, increase the added value of products and the share of brands in domestic and foreign markets.


    Yang Zhaohua said that in view of the macro economic situation faced by China's home textile industry and the current development of enterprises, the association has actively launched various industries.

    The first is to do well the regular work of the Association; two is to make active use of the exhibition platform and the annual meeting and other forms to open up two markets at home and abroad for the industry enterprises, strengthen the construction of independent brand and improve the internal driving force of the industry; three is the Association with home textile design competition, the popular trend research, publication, promotion and home textile professional skill identification are the important grippers to promote the home textile culture, guide the enterprises to strengthen the product research and development, increase the value-added of the products and improve the enterprise soft power; four is to attach importance to the industry diplomacy and continuously improve the international influence of the industry; and the five is to actively promote the industrial chain and downstream cooperation, guide the cross boundary cooperation in the industry, and look for new opportunity for the development of the industry.

    Over the past year, the work of the association has had a new bright spot at the new starting point. It has been praised by the higher authorities and industry and enterprises, and has achieved "upgrading", "making breakthroughs", "making innovations" and "gaining something".


    Yang Zhaohua stressed that the association will continue to do all its work to further improve the home textile industry's "12th Five-Year plan" to guide the development of the industry in the next 5 years: to do well in the "quality industry" activities, to promote the sustainable development of the industry, to actively set up exhibition platforms, to open up two domestic and foreign markets, to rationalize the branches and organizations, to serve well the development of the industry, to strengthen industry diplomacy, to find opportunities for cooperation, to continuously enhance the pertinence and timeliness of the industry statistics and operation analysis, to do well in the service of the industry, to perfect the design contest and trend work, to do well the service and development of the association members, to link up exchanges and cross-border cooperation, and to strengthen the construction of the social responsibility of the industry.


    Industrial planning is a long way to go


    The "12th Five-Year" period is a critical period for the home textile industry to grow from strength to strength. It is an important period of strategic opportunity to adjust the industrial structure and change the way of development. It is of great significance to deeply understand and accurately grasp the new characteristics of the industry development and make scientific plans for industry, so as to promote the sustained, steady and rapid development of the industry, help enterprises actively respond to market changes, achieve the pformation of home textile power, and accomplish the goal of national economic and social development.


    Yang Zhaohua pointed out that, because of the late start, the domestic textile industry foundation is relatively weak, the equipment is not advanced, the application level of information technology is low.

    The market concentration of the existing core brand products is low, and the market share of the existing core brand products is not high enough, and a number of terminal brands with strong market influence have not yet been formed.

    Terminal channels are relatively single, and homogenization is becoming more and more serious, which is not conducive to further development of the industry.

    Structural shortage of talent has gradually become a resource bottleneck for the development of the industry.

    Domestic consumption concept is obsolete, and we need to strengthen publicity and guidance.


    Based on the problems existing in the development of the industry, the industry will pform and upgrade the high-end value chain based on the comparative advantage and innovation strength of the industrial chain, accelerate the structural adjustment, pform the development mode, and realize the pformation from a large textile home to a home textile power.


    Yang Donghui, honorary president of China Textile Industry Federation and China Textile Association, made a concluding speech.

    He pointed out that the textile industry has made brilliant achievements in the past 5 years, both in terms of fiber processing capacity, output value and profits, and its efficiency has also increased significantly.

    With the pull of domestic demand, the textile industry has been developing rapidly, and has successfully passed the financial crisis.

    The achievements in the past 5 years have also benefited from the "two contribution rates" - the contribution rate of science and technology and the contribution rate of brand.

    In the opening year of 12th Five-Year, the textile industry has identified the goal of achieving a textile power in the next 5~10 years, mainly in four aspects, namely, technology, brand, talent and sustainable development, and formulated the "12th Five-Year" development plan.
