The population of China, Korea and Japan is about 1 billion 500 million, accounting for 22% of the world's total population, and the total GDP exceeds 10 trillion US dollars, accounting for more than 18% of the world's GDP, accounting for 70% of GDP in Asia.
The total amount of fiber processing in the three countries accounts for 60% of the world's total, while foreign exports account for about 41% of world exports.
The center of the world fiber industry has gradually shifted from the United States, Europe and other developed countries and regions to Asia. Asia has now changed from the world fiber production base to the world market, and its growth potential is limitless and attracts considerable attention.
The three textile industries are pforming at the same time.
Affected by the world economic situation, China's textile industry has entered a steady growth period. The chemical fiber production in Korea has been showing signs of decline. Korean capital has gradually shifted from China to ASEAN and ASEAN countries. The Japanese fiber industry will shift from domestic demand to relying on exports.
Sun Huaibin, director of the Ministry of industry of China Textile Industry Federation, briefly reviewed the development of China's textile industry since joining the WTO.
After that, he introduced the development of the industry in 2011. The total industrial output value of Enterprises above designated size increased by 29% over the same period of 1~9 months, and the operation of the whole industry was stable.
Sun Huaibin pointed out that under the influence of European crisis, inflation pressure, commodity price fluctuation and unstable political situation in the Middle East and North Africa, the growth rate of production, marketing and efficiency of the industry has obviously slowed down, and the future development of the industry will rely more heavily on the domestic demand market.
Subsequently, the representatives of Korea and Japan introduced the development status and future trend of the domestic fiber industry respectively.
Pei Sheng, executive director of the Federation of Korean Fiber Industry Federation, said that in 2011, with the recovery of world economy, the chemical fiber production in Korea once experienced rapid growth. However, since the second half of the year, the growth trend has been showing signs of atrophy due to the uncertainty of the world economy.
There are also some new trends in foreign investment in Korea.
According to reports, South Korea's overseas investment was mainly aimed at clothing, but now it has shifted to the upstream textile and dyeing fields.
At the same time, Korean capital is gradually shifting from China to ASEAN countries such as Vietnam and Kampuchea.
By 2010, South Korea's investment in China and ASEAN has been flat.

The Japanese economy was hit hard in the financial crisis.
According to Yi Ji Yuan, permanent director of the Japan Textile Industry Federation, the yen has rapidly appreciated against the US dollar and the euro in the past three years after the Lehman shock. Its appreciation against the US dollar has reached 30%, which directly affects the competitiveness of Japanese textile exports and the hollowing out of the industry.
He said that under the influence of the Lehman shock and the great earthquake, Japan's economy was negative growth in the 1~6 months of this year. The third quarter turned negative.
At the same time, domestic consumption expectations weakened, although the overall consumption of clothing has not decreased, but the unit price has dropped significantly.
As a result, brands like UNIQLO began to sell well.
Yi Ji Yuan also pointed out that the future textile and garment industry in Japan will shift the focus of the market from domestic demand to external demand.
China, Korea and Japan jointly build environmental protection the Great Wall
The carbon emissions trading system is being considered by the Korean parliament and is expected to be implemented in 2015. Japan introduced the "carbon footprint" standard to visualize the carbon emissions of products through the "carbon footprint" label, and tried it on uniforms.
The measures taken by South Korea and Japan in coping with the environmental safety of fiber industry may indicate the future development trend of the industry.
Yang Donghui, consultant of China Textile Industry Federation, described in detail the achievements made by the Chinese textile industry during the "11th Five-Year" period in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, and indicated that during the "12th Five-Year" period, the Chinese government and the China Federation of textile industry will continue to increase the degree of guarantee in the textile and garment industry, continue to improve the level of management and service related to sustainable development in the industry, vigorously develop new technologies for energy conservation, consumption reduction and emission reduction, and strengthen the recycling of solid resources, and promote the elimination of backward technology and equipment in the market.
The input and practice of environmental protection between Korea and Japan may mark the development trend of the textile industry.
Li Changyu, member of the Korea Chemical Fiber Association, said that the right to carbon emissions trading is being deliberated in Congress and is expected to be implemented in 2015.
At the same time, in terms of environmental related certification, South Korea integrates the 13 statutory duty certification marks of safety, health care, environment and quality into a unified product safety symbol, Korea Certification Mark, which was implemented in January 2010.
In addition, South Korea has also developed "Korea Eco-label" and "EQ" (Eco Quality) logo, and other products including textiles and clothing for environmental certification.
Since 1970, the Japanese government has formulated dozens of laws dealing with public safety, including the waste disposal law, the basic law of the environment and the basic law to promote the formation of a recycling society.
In accordance with the basic law of promoting the formation of a circular society, Japan's fiber products launched 3R measures, namely, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
According to introduction, the total displacement of Japanese fiber waste (excluding industrial use) in 2009 was 1 million 710 thousand tons, and the ratio of 3R increased from 10% in 2001 to 22% in 2009, and is gradually improving.
Ogawa Kohiro, vice president of the Japanese Fiber Industry Association, said that in view of the carbon emissions of the textile industry, the Japanese government introduced the "Carbon Foot Print" standard, and in November 2009, the CFP guidelines were set up to manage carbon emissions through visual labeling.
The "carbon footprint" system will calculate the carbon emissions of fabrics from the raw material procurement to the whole process of waste or recycling. At the same time, the CFP logo will be issued after third party certification.
At present, Japan has carried out a carbon footprint labelling test for uniforms.
The material of the uniform is relatively simple, and "carbon footprint" is relatively easy to calculate,
In the speech, the three sides expressed the future will carry on the closer exchange and the cooperation to the industry sustainable development.
Yang Donghui suggested that the three countries could strengthen cooperation in energy saving and environmental protection technology, labeling and testing methods, and optimizing trade and investment environment.
Ogawa suggested that the three countries could build a dynamic platform for environmental information exchange and actively carry out non-governmental environmental cooperation.

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of China Apparel Association, said that the cooperation base of China, Korea and Japan has been quite solid, and in fact, many achievements have been made.
In the future, the China Textile Industry Federation and China Garment Association will more actively build a platform for cooperation between the three industries.
In response to the question that Japan and South Korea brand may impact on the Chinese market, Chen Dapeng said that the future of Chinese clothing brand will accelerate its pace in design and research and development, based on the study of consumer groups and relying on the road of scientific and technological development.
"The market is not yours, nor is it mine, it is the real strength."
He said.
Jin Minghu, executive vice president of the Korean Fashion Association, said at the meeting that the growth rate of the Korean fashion market in 2010 was 14.7%, creating the highest growth rate in the new century.
At the same time, the growth trend of casual wear market in 2000s was weakened, and sportswear and leather products were replaced.
In terms of circulation and sales, he said, the sales volume of large supermarkets has exceeded that of department stores, the difference is still increasing; the market share of online sales and discount stores has increased significantly, the proportion of department stores and small specialty stores has gradually decreased; the community shops centered on adult consumption have been reviving, and Select Shop and Life Style Shop have become new business models.
Hironai Take, director of Japan fashion and fashion industry association, elaborated on the prospect of cooperation between China, Korea and Japan.
He said that Asia is a "world factory" in the field of fiber fashion industry, and is changing to the "world market".
By 2015, the market share of clothing in three countries will be shoulder to shoulder with that in Europe and North America.
The textile fiber industry of three countries has a complete industrial chain. In the future, it can integrate the creative ability, material development ability and product production ability to create the world's highest level fashion apparel.
Guang Ni Wu said that at present, Tokyo has become the fifth fashion birthplace after Paris, Milan, London and New York. In the future, Japan, China and South Korea should conduct close cooperation in the fashion industry, such as designing the cooperation between Tokyo fashion week and Beijing and Shanghai fashion week.
"Japan, China and South Korea are separated by a narrow strip of water. We should work together to publicize the clothing and fashion of Asia to the world.
In the near future, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai and Seoul will be built into "fashion city" and "fashion center".
In his speech, Guang Nei Wu described the blueprint of the future with great enthusiasm.
