The tax revenue of the whole industry increased from 1 billion 600 million yuan in 2006 to 2 billion 46 million yuan in 2010, ranking the top in sixteen characteristic industries. In the first three quarters of 2011, the tax revenue of the whole industry has reached 1 billion 841 million yuan, and the industrial advantage of China's shoe capital is evident here.

With the support of all member units, the five Council of the shoe and leather industry association of Wenzhou has persisted in its aim of organization, service and coordination. Zheng Xiukang reviewed the work of the Association for five years in the report of the five Council. At the meeting, the six Council's work tasks and work plan for 2012 were also released. Strikingly, the association will set up an international R & D Center for China's footwear export base, which is designed to integrate regional design power, design resources at home and abroad, design and research from raw materials to finished products, and create a comprehensive public platform integrating technology research and development, fashion design, brand planning, information consultation, exhibition, intellectual property services, education and training.
