    China is recognized as a big shoemaking producer, a big trading nation and a big consumer country in the world. But in recent years, India, Brazil, Vietnam and other countries are in the system.

    At the third world footwear forum held here, experts believe that because China is rich in raw material resources, perfect industrial chain, huge processing capacity, labor strength and large domestic market of 1 billion 300 million population, the status of China's world shoe giants will be difficult to shake, but we should actively pform from shoemaking power to shoemaking power.

    As a big trading country, China has sold nearly 10 billion pairs of shoes to nearly 200 countries and regions in the world, with a total export volume of US $33 billion 700 million (excluding shoe materials). The number and amount of exported shoes account for 73% and 40% of the world's footwear exports respectively.

    At the world footwear forum, the China Leather Association has made "the world footwear industry and the development trend of China's footwear industry in the next five years".


    The annual output of China is 13 billion pairs, the labor cost is 1.3-1.5 dollars / hour, the annual output of India is 2 billion pairs, and the labor cost is 0.65 dollars / hour. In Brazil last year, the annual output of all kinds of shoes was nearly 900 million pairs, and the labor cost was 4.35 dollars / hour; Vietnam last year produced nearly 800 million pairs of shoes, and the labor cost was 0.48 dollars / hour.


    Su Chaoying, director of the China Leather Association, pointed out that, from the quantity of shoe production, it is rather difficult for these countries to replace the position of China's footwear giants in 10 years. However, the competitive pressure on China's development in the future is still great, and we must speed up restructuring, pformation and upgrading.

    Completely abandon the development mode of competition based on speed, scale and price, and change to the development mode that depends on quality, standard, technology, service, innovation ability and brand influence.


    At the same time, experts agreed that China's development of leather industry has many advantages, such as rich raw material resources, perfect industrial chain, huge processing capacity, high-quality and low-cost labor force, production of various quality requirements at lower cost, and potential market of 1 billion 300 million people.

    Therefore, in the long run, China has the capability to cross the world leather power to the world leather power.


    Zhang Huarong, chairman of the association of Asian footwear industry, and other industry experts suggested that footwear enterprises should actively improve their ability to innovate independently, and establish an innovative system that takes enterprises as the main body, market orientation, production and research integration, industry organization promotion, and government policy support. In the next 5 years, we will strive to create 3-5 internationally famous brands, and focus on supporting a group of enterprises with a certain scale and strength.

    At the same time, we should actively cultivate new characteristic areas so that the total output value of leather characteristic areas will account for more than 60% of the total industrial output value of Enterprises above designated size.

    In addition, in the field of talent echelon, we should establish and improve a scientific and effective mechanism for cultivating echelons of talents in industry, and actively train excellent business management talents and middle and senior technicians, especially professionals and international talents in scientific research, design, patents, standards, trade rules and so on, laying a solid foundation for China to enter the ranks of shoemaking power by big shoemaking countries.
