Bangladesh Women Workers' Strike In Jordan Garment Factory Led To The Closure Of The Factory.
About 600 Bangladeshi female workers in a garment factory in Jordan, a Taiwanese operator, recently announced the closure of the garment factory after nearly half a month's illegal strike. 600 Bangladesh workers abroad were unemployed.
Through the mediation of Bangladesh Overseas Employment Services Limited (BOESL), 500 skilled female workmen have been referred to Jordan to work in a garment factory, and 100 of them are still out of the way.
According to Jordanian law, strikes are illegal and workers in the factory are illegal.
At present, there are about 30 thousand Bangladeshi workers.
