Xinjiang Ancient Costume Exhibition Held In Beijing

In December 16th, the "Xinjiang ancient costume Exhibition" jointly sponsored by the National Museum, the the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region cultural hall and the Xinjiang Museum opened in Beijing National Museum.

This is the first time that the new exhibition hall of National Museum has been invited to local exhibitions.

For the first time, the museum made a special exhibition in Beijing.

The exhibition is the spirit of National Museum's in-depth implementation of the Forum on central Xinjiang work, further promoting cultural assistance to Xinjiang and carrying Xinjiang.

Culture

Colleagues discussed the new ideas of cultural aid to Xinjiang and the important measures to broaden the new way of cultural cooperation.

The "ancient costume exhibition in Xinjiang" was exhibited in Xinjiang area from the pre Qin period to the Qing Dynasty for nearly 4000 years.

Clothes & Accessories

It includes more than 90 pieces of Xinjiang textiles found in archaeological excavations along the Silk Road in Xinjiang in the past ten years.

The exhibition is divided into five parts: "warm fur, brown and smart dress" - "western region pre Qin clothing", "Jin brocade cotton elegance and elegance -- Western Han Jin dress", "thousands of graceful bearing - the Sui and Tang Dynasties and the next generation of clothing", "the Uighur style of the Mongol and the heroic posture - the western region Song Yuan dress", "the Silk Road wonderful flower national treasure - the western region Ming and Qing clothing" the five part, can be described as an ancient costume of Xinjiang "the age show".

The unique natural geography and climatic environment of Xinjiang enable a large number of organic cultural heritage to be well preserved.

Among them, silk, cotton, wool and linen fabrics represent the ancient costumes of Xinjiang, which are wonderful works in the long river culture of our country.

The warp and weft yarns are crisscrossed, colorful, rich in patterns, beautifully embroidered, and even the words woven on them are clearly visible.

The organizers hope to display the glorious course of the intersection, integration and development of eastern and Western civilizations in Xinjiang, through the exhibition of national costumes, this representative of ancient Xinjiang culture, depicting the track of Xinjiang's multicultural exchanges and innovation and development, so that the majority of the audience will be in the bleak millennium of the Silk Road and feel the charm of the ancient Western culture.
