For example, as early as many years ago, some old scholars and experts in the domestic textile industry referred to the development route of foreign textile industry, and put forward the establishment of nonwoven materials and Engineering Specialty in domestic textile colleges according to the domestic textile education situation at that time.

In 2005, Donghua University and Tianjin University of Technology set up this major as a pilot project, and then promoted it in the national textile professional institutions.
