    Growth Of Global Yarn Fabric Production

    The International Federation of textile manufacturers (ITMF) reported that global yarn production increased in the third quarter of 2011 because of increased Asian production, especially in China and South America, but decreased in Europe and North America.

    In the three quarter, global fabric production increased, with output in Asia and South America increasing, while European production declined.


    Compared to the third quarter of last year, fabric production in all parts of the world decreased, except in South America.

    Global yarn inventories decreased in the three quarter of 2011, especially in South America and Asia, while stocks in Europe and North America remained unchanged.


    From the year-on-year perspective, global yarn stocks increased, with Asian stocks increasing and South American stocks decreasing.

    Compared with the previous quarter, the fabric inventory in all regions decreased in the three quarter, except in South America.

    From the annual basis, the fabric inventory in South America has soared, and the growth of fabric stores in North America, Asia and Europe is relatively small.

    European yarn and fabric orders declined compared with the previous quarter and the same period last year.

    Compared with the previous quarter, Brazil's orders for yarn and fabric increased significantly in the three quarter, but significantly decreased compared with the same period last year.


    In the four quarter of 2011, yarn and fabric production in most countries was expected to increase or decrease by half.

    Production is expected to increase in most Asian countries, while production in Europe and Turkey is likely to decrease.


    Compared with the previous quarter, world yarn production increased by 2.5% in the third quarter of 2011.

    Although South America and Asia increased by 9.2% and 2.7% respectively, North America and Europe decreased -4.9% and -4.8% respectively.

    From the year-on-year perspective,

    Yarn production increased slightly by 1.1%, of which Asian production increased by 1.6%, North America production decreased (-8.5%), South America decreased (-7.5%), Europe (- 2.6%).


    Compared with the previous quarter, global fabric production increased by 5.9% in the third quarter of 2011.

    Asia's fabric production increased by 7.5%, while South America increased by +3.1%, but Europe dropped by 8.7%.

    Compared with the three quarter of last year, global fabric production dropped by 2.3%.

    Only South America grew (4.6%), and fabric production in Europe, Asia and North America decreased by -4.9%, -2.6% and -2.4% respectively.


    In the third quarter of 2011, global yarn inventories dropped by -11.4% compared with the previous quarter.

    -20.6% and -14.8% were reduced in South America and Asia, but almost unchanged in Europe and North America.

    According to the annual basis, global yarn stock grew by 2%.

    South American yarn stocks fell by -9.5%, while Asia and Europe grew by 4.8% and 0.3% respectively.


    Compared with the previous quarter, global fabric inventories rose 4.4% in the third quarter of 2011.

    South America jumped 14.9%, North America also increased by 4%, Asia grew by 0.6%, and Europe increased by 0.5%.

    Compared with the three quarter of last year, global fabric inventories increased by 15.7%.

    South America has surged by 64%, and North America has increased by 12.3%.

    Compared with last quarter, European yarn and fabric orders declined slightly in the third quarter of 2011, decreasing -0.4% and -1.5% respectively. Compared with the same period last year, European yarn and fabric orders decreased slightly, decreasing -0.1% and -1.5% respectively.

    Brazil yarn and fabric orders increased by 23.5% and 15.7% respectively compared with the previous quarter.
