Looking back at the history of Keqiao Textile Expo, it is not long but it takes one step at a time. In 1999, the Textile Fair was officially founded, the name "China Textile City Textile Expo"; in 2004, the Textile Fair was renamed "China (Shaoxing) Textile Exposition"; in 2006, the Textile Fair was listed as the key support trade exhibition in the field of domestic trade by the relevant departments of the state; 2007, with the help of the Textile Expo platform, China Keqiao textile index was released to the world successfully; in April 2008, on the basis of the successful operation of all previous textile fairs, Shaoxing County launched the Spring Fair for the first time, thus creating a new phase of the spring and autumn two season textile Expo. In the same year, in October, with the approval of relevant state departments, the Textile Fair was officially promoted to an international textile professional exhibition, and was renamed the "China Keqiao International Textile Exposition". The seat of Shaoxing County, Keqiao, has also become one of the county towns to undertake the textile exhibition in China.

In October 2009, the guests of the International Federation of spinning and weaving exhibitions visited Keqiao Textile Expo, and the exhibition activities were more abundant.
