In June 12th, the delegation of the 2012 national cotton Federation of China arrived in Beijing, the morning and China.

Clyde Sharp, chairman of the national cotton Federation and chairman of the cotton growers association, led the delegation to China.

Clyde Sharp said: NCC represents seven groups in the cotton industry: growers, ginning merchants, warehouses, cotton merchants, cottonseed processors, cooperatives and textile enterprises.

This time, representatives from four groups took part in the visit to China.

Both China and the United States are big agricultural countries, hoping to have more exchanges. Only by understanding each other, can we cooperate more deeply.

In response to the planting of American cotton this year, Mr. Clyde Sharp also introduced: the US Department of agriculture's cotton planting report will not come out until the end of June. Now it is predicted that the total cotton planting area will decline in 2012, which is due to the decline in cotton prices, the causes of rainfall and the cost of cotton planting costs.

At present, China is also increasing its import of cotton. I hope this year's share of cotton imports will reach 40%.

Speaking of the current cotton prices and inventory problems, Mr. Clyde Sharp replied: countries have adopted different practices in China.

Such a practice can stabilize cotton prices, but it also leads to the purchase and storage.

Kevin Latner, executive director of the international cotton association of the United States, and Karin Malmstrom, the Chinese director of the international cotton association, also attended the media exchange meeting, and repeatedly said that the cotton industry between China and the United States should communicate with each other and make common progress.

The delegation of NCC2012 to China will also visit relevant trade associations during its visit to China, and then visit Zhengzhou and other places in Henan.

Since the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Chinese and American cotton associations in 2006, it has been the fourth senior delegation of the US cotton industry to visit China.

This will help further enhance the feelings of both sides and promote the two countries.
