Recently, the inspection and Quarantine Bureau of the Nantong inspection and Quarantine Bureau has been inspecting a batch of Nantong.

During the field inspection of boys' shorts exported to Italy, it was found that the children's waist had a rope design at the waist, revealing that some of the drawstring was up to 40cm, and it was not tied up and fixed. It could be completely extracted and easily lead to children wearing rope ties, entangling and shitting injuries.

This batch of children's clothing in Nantong does not meet the EN14682 requirements of the European Union's mandatory standard, so it must be corrected to meet the requirements before it can be exported.

Children's wear is too long to cause harm to children.

Too long rope pulling may lead to dangerous situations of winding, hanging and dragging, which is related to children's personal safety.

Last year, infant products were included in the list of legal check ups.

The quality level has been significantly improved, but in daily inspection and supervision, it is still often found that some products have hidden dangers, and the cases of overseas recall are also frequent.

As a law enforcement department of inspection and quarantine technology, we should make use of the advantages of technology, information and talents to provide quality services such as regulation guidance, standard training, management guidance and technical guidance for enterprises, so as to enhance their awareness and control of children's safety and quality, and enhance their ability to deal with foreign technical trade measures.

At the same time, we should strengthen the research on foreign technical trade measures, and increase the inspection and supervision of children's clothing products through the identification of products, classification management, integrity system assessment and routine inspection and supervision.

Children's clothing exports to the European Union frequently exposed to quality problems

In recent years, children's clothing exported to the EU has been reported, recalled and claimed repeatedly due to the mechanical safety of detail design which does not meet the requirements of EU laws and regulations. It has caused adverse effects on the quality and reputation of Chinese made garments.

The main performance is that the safety of the rope is inconsistent and the tensile strength of the small parts is not qualified.

It is worth noting that the reason for the failure of most children's clothing safety is mainly due to defects in the detail design of foreign customers' products.

Some foreign customers are not familiar with the technical regulations of the importing countries. In order to make the products beautiful and unique, the design of the rope is too long.

Similarly, domestic garment manufacturers do not understand foreign technical regulations. Some enterprises only know how to produce according to customer requirements, and they lack sufficient identification ability for whether the design plan is in line with foreign technical regulations.

In addition, when the contract was signed, most of them did not specify the conformity of product design and did not specify the corresponding exemption clause. Therefore, enterprises often had to bear the economic losses caused by the failure of the product to be exported or reworked.

To this end, the inspection and Quarantine Department reminded the export garment manufacturers: we must strengthen the right.

China's research and Research on technical regulations ensure the quality and safety of export products. When accepting customers' samples, we should evaluate the safety performance of product design, and do not blindly produce orders, so as to avoid unnecessary losses.
