A survey of more than four thousand consumers in China, India, Brazil and Russia has been conducted by globeone, a German business information consultancy.

In the field, Adidas and Puma are the two most famous German brands in the Chinese market.

Data show that in the first three quarters of 2011, sales of Adidas in Greater China were 900 million euros, an increase of 25% over the same period last year, excluding the exchange rate factor, an increase of 28% over the same period last year, ranking the first in the six largest markets of the world in Adidas.

By the end of 2011, Adidas had 6700 stores in China, and Adidas has made five years' development plan for the brand in 2010.

Compared with ADI,

The share in the Chinese market is weak, analysts believe that Puma is slightly lacking in product innovation and so on.

Niklas Schaffmeister, executive director of globeone group, said that compared with the world's top brands, German brands are very conservative.

Although German brands have good reputation and high buying tendency among consumers, the consumption frequency of many German products in BRICs is very low.

Part of the reason is that the price of these products is relatively high, and more concentrated in high-end areas.
