This year, thanks to the slow economic recovery in Europe and the United States, our country has been recovering slowly.

    textile industry

External demand continued to be weak, orders were insufficient, and raw materials and labor costs increased sharply. The growth rate of export volume of textile raw materials, products and textile machinery showed a sharp decline. Textile raw material products exports showed a significant downward trend compared with the 09 years after the financial crisis.

Fang Tingting, an analyst with customs information network, said: "the textile industry in China has suffered a real" cold current ". The export situation of the whole year is not optimistic.

She pointed out that the vast number of textile enterprises should ring the alarm bell in time, prepare ahead of schedule, and constantly break through and seek new profit growth points through upgrading the industrial structure and diversifying the market, so as to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of China's textile industry exports.

China's textile industry suffered a new "cold current", and its main competitors were active.

Customs information network statistics show that in the first 4 months of this year, the total export of our country

    Textile raw materials

And the product was $66 billion 820 million, down 0.5% from the same period last year, and the growth rate fell by 29.2 percentage points from the growth of 28.7% in the same period last year.

Among them, the export of natural fiber products was 6 billion 370 million US dollars, down 12.6% from the same period last year, and the growth rate dropped by 60 percentage points over the same period last year. The export of chemical fiber and industrial textile products was 11 billion 520 million US dollars, down 2.5% from the same period last year. The growth rate dropped by 50.8 percentage points compared with the same period last year. The export of clothing and accessories products was 48 billion 930 million US dollars, an increase of 1.8% over the same period last year, and the growth rate dropped by 10 percentage points over the same period last year. The growth rate of the natural textile products is 47.4%.

In addition, the export volume of China's textile machinery products was 690 million US dollars in the first 4 months, an increase of 1% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 27 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year.

Through the analysis of the actual export situation of the main export products of China's textile industry in the first 4 months of this year, we can see that the export of China's textile industry has suffered another cold spell after the financial crisis this year. The export situation of the whole year is not optimistic, especially for the export to the EU market.

At the same time, as ASEAN's main export competitors, Vietnam, Indonesia and other ASEAN countries are taking advantage of their low labor cost advantages to gradually replace our traditional competitive advantage. Orders for exporting to Europe and the United States have been shifting to these countries. Therefore, textile and textile machinery imports from Vietnam and Indonesia still keep growing in the context of the economic downturn.

The textile industry in 2012, 1-4 released by the Federation of textile industry in May 31st, also reflects the dilemma faced by China's textile industry: nearly 1/5 of the textile enterprises above designated size are losing money, and the growth of the deficit is 120%.

    Natural fiber

The overall downturn in exports of products continues to increase exports to Vietnam.

In the first 4 months of this year, exports of natural fiber products in China were in a doldrums, and exports decreased by 12.6% compared with the same period last year. The main export markets were Hongkong, Vietnam and the European Union. The total exports to the above three markets accounted for 36.7% of the total exports of natural fiber products in the same period.

Exports to Hongkong and EU have declined significantly, but exports to Vietnam still grow.

According to the customs information network, in the first 4 months of this year, China exported 1 billion 20 million and 630 million US dollars of natural fiber products to Hongkong and the EU respectively, down 17.8% and 28.4% compared to the same period last year, and exported 680 million US dollars to Vietnam, an increase of 4% over the same period last year.

It can be seen that China's textile and clothing export advantages are gradually being replaced by low labor cost countries such as Vietnam, thanks to the high cost of China's textile industry and the continuous strengthening of trade barriers to China's textile and apparel products in the international market. Vietnam's demand for natural fiber raw materials imported from China has continued to grow.

Judging from the main exports of natural fiber products, the export volume of all types of cotton fabrics ranks the top.

Among them, there were mainly 14 varieties of exports exceeding US $100 million in the first 4 months.

From the perspective of export enterprises, the export concentration of natural fiber products in China is relatively low. The total export volume of the top 10 enterprises in the export volume accounts for only 8.4% of the total export volume of the same period. Among them, the amount of natural fiber products exported by Wei Qiao textile Limited by Share Ltd, the first place in the list, dropped by 65.3% over the same period last year.

The overall export volume of chemical fiber and industrial textiles declined, and the export trend of European and American markets increased.

In the first 4 months of this year, the export volume of China's chemical fiber and industrial textile products was 11 billion 520 million US dollars, down 2.5% from the same period last year. However, exports to the main export markets of the European Union and the United States have been increasing, including 1 billion 320 million US dollars in exports to the European Union, an increase of 2.8% over the same period last year, 790 million US dollars in exports to the United States, an increase of 19.4% over the same period last year, and exports to Vietnam and Hongkong in the same period were US $660 million and 630 million US dollars respectively, representing a decrease of 10% and 8.7% respectively over the same period.

The total export volume of the above 4 markets accounts for 29.5% of the total export volume of China's chemical fiber and industrial textiles in the same period.

Judging from the main exports of chemical fiber and industrial textiles, there are 11 varieties of polyester varieties with the highest export volume and more than US $200 million in export volume, accounting for 28.6% of the total export volume of chemical fiber and industrial textiles in the same period.

From the perspective of export enterprises, the export concentration of natural fiber products in China is relatively low, and the total export volume of the top 10 enterprises accounted for only 4.8% of the total export volume of the same period.

Exports of clothing and accessories to EU declined significantly, and exports to the US and Japan increased slightly.

In the first 4 months of this year, China's clothing and accessories exports amounted to US $48 billion 930 million, a slight increase of 1.8% over the same period last year.

Among them, due to the impact of the European debt crisis, the European market has always been sluggish, leading to a significant reduction in the export volume of clothing and accessories products to the main markets in the EU. Exports in the first 4 months of this year amounted to US $9 billion 980 million, down 12.1% from the same period last year. During the same period, the US and Japanese markets exported 8 billion 550 million US dollars and US $7 billion 740 million, representing a slight increase of 6% and 4.8% respectively over the same period last year.

The total export volume of the above three markets accounts for 53.7% of the total export volume of clothing and accessories in China over the same period.

From the perspective of the main export varieties, mainly cotton based clothing.

In the first 4 months of this year, there were 9 varieties of export volume exceeding US $1 billion, accounting for 27.1% of the total export volume of clothing and accessories in China over the same period.

From the perspective of export enterprises, the concentration ratio of natural fiber products in China is more dispersed than that of textile raw materials. The total export volume of the top 10 enterprises in the export volume accounts for only 3.3% of the total export volume of the same period.

The overall growth in exports of textile machinery increased significantly against Indonesia's export market.

In the first 4 months of this year, China's textile machinery products exported 690 million US dollars, an increase of 1% over the same period last year.

Among them, exports to India and EU markets were 140 million US dollars and 60 million US dollars respectively, down 19% and 6.4% respectively compared with the same period last year. The export market for Indonesia has increased significantly, with an export volume of US $70 million, an increase of 60.3% over the same period last year.

The total export volume of the above three markets accounts for 38.7% of the total export volume of textile machinery products in the same period.

The export of major varieties with an export volume exceeding US $20 million is shown in Table 8:

From the perspective of export enterprises, the export concentration of China's textile machinery products is relatively concentrated, and the total export volume of the top 10 enterprises accounted for 24.4% of the total export volume of China's textile machinery products in the same period.
